Grizzlies win 5th straight!

Mon Dec 08, 2003 1:47 pm

The Grizzlies are still on a role. We beat Bonzi's former team which I'm very happy to say we won by 14. Bonzi had 16 points against them, and alot of the other Grizzlies played good such as: Pau, Battier, Swift, Miller, Watson and Wright. The good thing is Person had only 2 pts.

The Midwest Division is just a bit too strong now, with the Grizzlies and Nuggets getting into the mix. The worst team is the Spurs and they not even terrible.

Grizzlies might take the divison lead only 1 game back of Houston, Denver, and Dallas and might extend there streak to 7 with 2 easy games coming up vs. Miami and Atlanta, and maybe even 8 or 9 if they beat the Nets or Spurs. If they win 10 in a row ( 10th game is vs. Kings) then we will all know they are for real this year. (Y) Many teams tend to have a fast start then go down the drain over the 2nd half of the season ( look at the pacers last year)

The Spurs are not terrible? The Spurs won the NBA championship last year. The Midwest has no teams under .500.

The Grizzlies are good. Pau Gasol is becoming a franchise player. Mike Miller is a good scorer. Shane Battie will become a star in the future. Jason Williams is a top point guard. Bonzi Wells is good addition who was in need for a fresh start. James Posey is a good all-around player. There is Lorenzen Wright, Sromile Swift, Bo Outlaw...

Memphis is going to be an elite team pretty soon. All they need is a 5. They already have a big man, a point, tons of athleticism... Plus, they have Jerry West making decisions for them.
