So after a couple of attempts to get this or something similar together, it looks like this is finally happening. A lot of familiar names if you've been playing NBA live games for the past 20 years or so like me. Who wouldn't get excited over Lee Nailon and Mike sweetney??
Some dude took the time to do a mock draft lol

As a former sonics and Payton fan, that the Williams/Lewis team will be the one I am rooting for. They got kwame LOL
Bibby/Davis team should be fun to watch as well

Kwame could be a beast and a difference maker in this league, haha.

It's a shame that Earl boykins wasn't picked. He was one of the best scorers in the league. Hoped he finds his way onto a team. Do they sign and drop players during the season?

IDK, but Steve Francis wasn't either... ugh.
I like that they did it this way though... kinda cool.. seems like they are taking it seriously.

Yeah I was reading that they get more money for making it further so they're all motivated to win

Some familiar names there. With some of the star power involved, it should have a shot at succeeding.

I'm a fan of Kendall Gill, same here. That's a shame.

Kwame Brown's small hands mixed with Jason Williams no look unexpected passes is going to be interesting for sure

I like him and Will Perdue on the CSN desk he should just stick with that
Nate Robinson should pursue this instead of being an irritant to the Bulls

Gill did have a reputation for being a team cancer at certain points of his career. Maybe that caught up to him, even in a league such as this one. Solid player, though.

The dude is boxing. Ridiculous in shape.
I like his work in the studio too. Just don't piss him off or he'll choke you out

So I watched this last night. It was actually pretty entertaining. I was already excited when it started but then I heard Gus Johnson's voice and nearly lost it. Miss that guy.
2 out of the 3 games I watched came down to the wire. A couple injuries did kill the mood a bit. Brian Cook is still a waste of height. I would continue to watch this

Also team captain Brian Scalabrine.
http://big3.com/team-captains/brian-scalabrineBrian David Scalabrine is one of modern basketball's most popular stars.

Saw Jason Williams was one of the players to go down with injury. Certainly unfortunate, but I guess not unexpected given the age of many of the participants. It's why they replaced the Legends game with the Rookie Challenge at the All-Star Weekend all those years ago.

I like the composition of the killer 3s. I think having 1 rebounding big and 2 guards is the best combo for 3-on-3 basketball.
Killer 3s Charles Oakley Chauncey Billups (captain), Stephen Jackson (co-captain), Reggie Evans, Larry Hughes, Brian Cook
Btw, how is antoine walker and baron davis not in this? I would think that former stars that recently tried to get back into the league through the d-league would be trying to get into this.

Would liked to have seen DJ Mbenga drafted.

Billups not playing because he is cavs gm so they looked incredibly weak. Eddie Robinson was his replacement. Weakest of the 6 teams I watched. No true pg on the team and no real go to guy especially on the post. I cringed every time Reggie Evans tried to take control or even dribble to the basket. Hughes was a ghost. Brian cook still terrible
The key is versatility. Harrington looked strong as he rebounded well and scored from anywhere. Bigs who rebound and can score inside at will have a huge advantage. Jermaine dominated inside. Rashard and kwame combo was monster on the boards and defense plus rashard gives you 3 and 4 point range.

I'm actually loving this league. The players took it seriously, the competition was good. Al Harrington with the sweet fadeaway was great, and he got all pumped up about it and so did the crowd.
I like that they are truly being competitive. I'm sad that White Chocolate went down....

GIVE THAT MAN HIS CAKE!
I like how despite being a 12-year NBA veteran Kwame still needs to be told what to do by Payton and Williams.
Sat Jul 01, 2017 1:44 am
Kwame looks like a better player than he was back then. lol
Is it true 3 on 3 bball now is in the Olympics? Would be cool to see if ex-NBA players could make it.
