Ray Allen considering a comeback...to the Warriors

Postby benji on Wed Jul 06, 2016 11:07 pm

Ray Allen, one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, is considering making a comeback, according to league sources.

Allen's representatives reached out to the Golden State Warriors recently about the possibility of Allen joining the Western Conference champions.

The Warriors are unsure whether they want to pursue the future Hall of Famer, sources said.

Allen, who will turn 41 on July 20, is also not absolutely sure he wants to return after sitting out the past two seasons. But he is intrigued by the possibility of playing for another championship, and in addition to the Warriors, he would consider joining the Cleveland Cavaliers, San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Clippers, sources said.

How funny would it be if the Heat signed him to a 1 year 25 million contract just to mess with Wade.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The representatives of the future Hall-of-Fame sharpshooter Ray Allen have reached out to the Cavaliers to inform the champs that their client is anticipating a return to basketball after a two-year break, league sources informed cleveland.com.

Looks like he's going to join one or the other (Warriors).

I don't see how Ray provides enough offensively to compensate for his non-existent defense.

Might as well sign James Jones.

With his ability to catch and shoot, he can probably give them a decent 8-12 minutes per game.

If I was Ray Allen I would sign with the Cavs over the Warriors. I don't buy into all this KD hype.

Exchanging Barbosa for Ray Allen is not that bad. Damn the Warriors signing serviceable players for cheap while other teams are just throwing money at everyone. It just feels nice to be a contender.

They've lost my business. It's a real time waster anyhow, and I have plenty of those!

Basketball video games are much better these days than the NBA.

Honestly I dont like what gsw are doing but if Ray Allen went it would be catch shoot all day cause of Curry, Thompson, and Allen (if he goes) and hes been keeping in shape always saying he might come back

No reason to root for the Warriors next season. Historic record most likely out of the question, already a super stacked team which was a favorite to win before KD and Ray Ray.
