1.(76ers) B.Ingram Reason-76ers need someone athletic and explosive not a PF type guy who can't shoot.
2.(Lakers) B.Simmons Reason-He wants them,they want him.Next Laker leader after Kobe maybe?
3.(Celtics) B.Hield Reason-I like him.Dragan would be more suitable for Celts. But i have seen him play....didn't impress me.
4.(Suns) J.Brown Reason-Phoenix forwards are P.J Tucker,Chase Budinger,TJ Warren,Mirza Teletovic.Well it's still better than aren name I guess
5.(T-Wolves) K.Dunn Reason-I would use him as SG probably.Minnesotta actually are quite stacked for future.
6.(Nola) J.Murray Reason-Again,more of SG.
7.(Denver) D.Bender Reason-Denver would take the best prospect aviable.Thei PF now is Faried.Wouldn't be surprise if they trade the pick
8.(SAC) D.Valentine Reason-I would pull the risk trigger on him.
9.(6) D.Sabonis Reason-Toronto need PF.Sabonis is perfect for them.Especially for Jonas :cheeky:
10.(Bucks) M.Chriss Reason-They have noone at PF.
11.(Magic) T.Luwawu Reason-Timothe might go from 11-25.As Magic I woul trade.
12.(Jazzzzzz) J.Poeltl Reason-Homeboy and best aviable.
13.(Suns) S.Labissiere Reason-Remember when he was projected top4? Peperidge farm does.
14.(CHI-town) F.Korkmaz Reason-Name the Bulls SG?

NLSC MOCK DRAFT

Postby Kevin on Sun May 22, 2016 3:12 am

That time of the year again. Post your mock draft for this year's draft.

Code: Select all
1st Pick (76ers) -
2nd Pick (Lakers) -
3rd Pick (Boston) -
4th Pick (Suns) -
5th pick (Timberwolves) -
6th Pick (Pelicans) -
7th Pick (Nuggets) -
8th Pick (Kings) -
9th Pick (Raptors) -
10th Pick (Bucks) -
11th Pick (Magic) -
12th Pick (Jazz) -
13th Pick (Suns) -
14th Pick (Bulls) -
15th Pick (Nuggets) -

Mine:
1st Pick (76ers) - Brandon Ingram. I'm praying. Praying that they pick Ingram instead of Simmons. Perhaps Simmons could do what Kobe did? Publicly state that he wants to play in LA than in other teams?
2nd Pick (Lakers) - Ben Simmons. Criticized the whole year because of his grades but who the hell cares? You don't see any mathematician basketball players on the court, right? Still would want him on the Lakers even though I'd want him traded for a superstar. PG sounds good.
3rd Pick (Boston) - Buddy Hield. Thomas can't rely on Bradley and Turner on offense for long. Hield likes to shoot. Let him be.
4th Pick (Suns) - Jaylen Brown. He's a shooting guard but he can play as a small forward if he wants to. Has the athleticism and speed to catch up on anyone. No reliable j but Booker and Bledsoe has that covered.
5th pick (Timberwolves) - Dragan Bender. I know Minnesota already have KAT so they can throw a hail mary here and pick Bender. He moves just like Porzingis and is okay around the rim. Could pay out in the end for Minny.
6th Pick (Pelicans) - Jamal Murray. The injury-plagued Pelicans need a guard that can play an 82-game season. Out of 246 games (82 games times 3), Evans, Holiday, and Gordon only played for 135 games. They can let Gordon and Evans go so they can pick Murray and pair him with AD and Holiday.
7th Pick (Nuggets) - Marquese Chriss. A forward for the Nuggets who already has Gallinari, Faried, etc? Yep. Gallinari was one of my favorite players in the NBA but he's just been piling up the injuries. I won't be surprised if he goes down next season and the Nuggets turn to Chriss for production.
8th Pick (Kings) - Kris Dunn. He can pass the ball and can learn more beside Rondo. Good thing he can score the basketball.
9th Pick (Raptors) - Demetrius Jackson. Seriously, who can the Raptors pick here? We need a new Canadian team.
10th Pick (Bucks) - Domantas Sabonis. Saw him outplay Okafor in a game once on youtube. Can rebound the ball and can shoot from the outside. Great pickup considering what their pickup from free agency least season did for them.
11th Pick (Magic) - Taurean Prince. Looks like a solid energy guy off the bench and reminds me of Faried with his style of play and locks.
12th Pick (Jazz) - Malik Beasley. Very athletic and can handle the ball well.
13th Pick (Suns) - Cheick Diallo. He hasn't had a lot of on-court action last season but the Suns are okay with that. They have Nurkic and Jokic. Think of Cheick as an insurance after anyone of those guys don't make it.
14th Pick (Bulls) - Denzel Valentine. Averaged close to a triple-double last season and the whole NBA has been quiet about him. Since Chicago's too proud to release or trade Rose, they'll pick another big man instead - which is similar to Pau.
15th Pick (Nuggets) - Tyler Ulis. Slide Mudiay to the SG spot and let Ulis work his magic.
Rest In Peace Kobe

The Bucks would have the first pick, because of the First Amendment.

And complain to the FCC and BBB.

I think Simmons will go number one. Right or wrong choice, overrated or truly a future superstar, I think the hype will nevertheless see the 76ers take him.

When I saw this thread I thought Porzingod was Corymarch. :eh:

I think Simmons goes first and Ingram goes second.

who do the Celts pick?! anyone catch the dragon bender "strength's" vid on draftexpress/the vertical?? he supposedly is mobile and fluid. the best clips found to display this are him cherry picking on defense, sprinting down the court untouched, and him unable to catch the ball while getting a pass in transition.

i hope they trade down or just go ahead with Hield

I think after the knicks success with KP it only makes Bender a better prospect with more teams willing to take a change on him compared to a few years ago he may of being drafting late lottery.

Yeah. Its lets find Dirk all over again.

I am all for trade to move down but every team probably knows pick 3-10 are really anybody's game this year. Just trade the pick entirely or trade for much lower pick?

The Lakers fucked up the Sixers chances of drafting D'Angelo. I can see the Sixers doing the same to the Lakers by picking Simmons.

I was thinking too of KP's success playing a factor. What surprises me is he is rated so high without showing he excels significantly in one skill. Dirk and KP could shoot. Bender can... Run the floor well?

I don't want to sound dumb but Bender just hasn't got that something. He's good player, no doubt, but there is something wrong about him.......?

I think there's a strong chance of this, they were supposed to be really mulling the idea of taking KP last year but played it safe and with the team they have next year they could really push the tempo.

He must run the floor really well.

I shared exact same sentiment when I watched his breakdown vids way back. Seems nothing new has been added recently. So I couldn't understand the hype then, I can't understand it now either. This guy feels like Alex Len with shooting potential.

I've really gone of the draft process in recent years with the whole "hype" machine all it takes is a few good games in march madness and that can get a player who all season long was projected to be drafted late first round then throw 4 good games in a row together and suddenly there a top 5 draft pick.
