With Dallas losing to San Antonio, the Blazers have won the 5 seed and will face the Clippers in the first round. hip hip...
I'm going Blazers in 4. We've been balling out lately and there's no way the Clippers can stop our barrage of 3's!
...SIKE! Clips in 5. I love my blazers, but they haven't a chance against a top 5 team in the Clippers.

LAC in 6, the power of truth compels you
Thu Apr 14, 2016 2:09 pm
Clippers sweep! Congrats tho to the Blazers. They've done well nice even tho lost Algridge, Batom. and Lopes.
Thu Apr 14, 2016 2:30 pm
Clippers in five competitive games.
Thu Apr 14, 2016 3:46 pm
Gah I can't pick. I like both teams. Ok, I guess I'll root for the clippers?
Thu Apr 14, 2016 3:52 pm
Clippers are unpredictable especially in the Playoffs this one is tough but i might have to go with lac in 6 or 7
Thu Apr 14, 2016 4:43 pm
I think the Clips will think they have an easy series, but will be surprised and worn down by the Blazers. I think LA will come out on top, but they won't have enough to compete with the Warriors.

Clean sweep here for the Clippers.
Fri Apr 15, 2016 11:40 am
Blazers in 7. We doubted them at the start of the season I don't want to do the same this post-season.
Sun Apr 17, 2016 2:39 pm
Wishful thinking here, but I'm hoping for Blazers in 7. If every single thing goes right for us and most things (a-la Blake Griffin) go wrong for the Clipps, then we could get away with it...
And then loose horribly to the Warriors.
I got tickets for games three and four. I'm assuming that we'll be down 0-2, so these two will be must-wins. Should be a good time.

Go Blazers! Fucking Clippers made a couple of comebacks, and were actually up by like 4 at one point, but C.J. and Dame held it together. Monster game from Mase Plumlee; 21 rebounds and 9 assists. Wtf.
Mon Apr 25, 2016 3:51 am
One more playoff win than expected going into the season.
Tue Apr 26, 2016 3:15 pm
Go Blazers! Clippers are falling apart. We might just get out of this first round.
Tue Apr 26, 2016 3:22 pm
I hate to see injuries to great players. Having said that, holy shit we just might do this!
Wed Apr 27, 2016 12:06 am
I now want the Blazers to win this series, a healthy team like them can at least wear down the Warriors for the Spurs, compared to the Clippers with no Paul.
Wed Apr 27, 2016 12:35 am
I'm glad I didn't buy playoff tickets.
Wed Apr 27, 2016 7:02 am
Wow, what is with these inferior teams rebelling all the way down from 0-2 deficit?
SO BAD for CP3. He has played so hard all season long and now he's out. This year's playoffs is turning out to be garbage.

That thing called homecourt advantage?

Blake Griffin out for the playoffs with a quad injury.
Paul and Griffin.
Congrats to the Blazers. After all those years of career-ending injuries to key players like Brandon Roy and Greg Oden, karma is now paying the Blazers back.

And to think, all they had to do was give DeAndre Jordan a larger role on offense and these injuries wouldn't be an issue.
I think this may be good for the league, and Damian Lillard's stardom as he and the rest of the Trailblazers should have a confidence boost along with a sense of urgency to upset the Clips and make an exciting series out of the second round.
This has got to hurt for second round exit Paul, and a sign for Blake Griffin to change his approach when it comes to his decision making. Playing through his injury was a questionable decision, and we can only wonder if it will heal in the off-season.
I think the smartest decision the Clips can make is just try to get as many players as they would like to keep on the roster as much playoff experience as possible. I am sure they have lost some confidence with these injuries and there will be some frustration as Doc gives the green light to Austin, but they still have some weapons to make the rest of the series competitive.

It's indeed rare that an injury favours the Blazers, but there you have it. Surely, they're moving on.
Wed Apr 27, 2016 11:01 am
I told you never to doubt the Blazers. It just sucks that Paul and Griffin suffered these injuries at an unfortunate time, If the Clippers ever win this one, the Warriors (if they close out the Rockets) will have a better chance of advancing to the WCF with maybe a healthy Curry.
Wed Apr 27, 2016 11:56 am
Doesn't matter. Either team gets wrecked by GSW next round
Wed Apr 27, 2016 11:26 pm
No Paul and now no Blake either...
Blazer got a real good chance here to advance to the second round which I hope they do to be honest, I love a fairytale nba story

You're probably right, but Curry's injury definitely changes things. We haven't even beaten the Clips yet so I don't want to get ahead of myself, but there is a very real, albeit slim, chance of Portland going to the WCF. GS still has the better squad even with Curry, but Dame tends to go off against them, and as this series proves, anything can happen.
Were that the case, it would be the least interesting conference finals ever (with the EC playoffs continuing to be a formality), but I certainly wouldn't mind!
