If the Knicks make the playoffs this year then Qyntel Woods should be the player that leads them to the turnaround.

Thu Mar 09, 2006 7:22 am

If we manage to make the playoffs this year , I swear to god I will buy every single Knicks Jersey. All of them . Authentic . Thats a shit load of money .

Just save for next year (Y)

Thu Mar 09, 2006 7:27 am

No , I know they won't make the playoffs this year thats why I'm making the bet this year.

I was watching Conan last night, he had a couple of Knick-related barbs. In the opening monologue he mentioned the plans to tear down and rebuild Madison Square Garden. "Fans are hoping the Knicks will be in the building at the time."

Also during the "Celebrity Survey" bit, in response to "If I put my mind to it, I could..."

"Stephen Hawking wrote: ...defeat the entire Knicks team by myself."

Starbury - A Legend in his Own Mind

The Marbury vs. Brown feud should be resolved in a mud wrestling fight, best outta 3

Tue Mar 14, 2006 1:14 am

Long before Brown arrived, Marbury declared that he was the league's best point guard. Since making that astute observation, the Knicks have won 34 games. And lost 80.

my fav part, 34-80 lol

That should be the lineup for the rest of the season. F--- Isiah's overpriced veterans. I want the young boys to play. And I'm loving this Butler cat...he has something Curry & James don't have...H-E-A-R-T!

Isiah better not trade ANY of our young players.

The Knicks have two draft picks but only 1 roster spot. And I think Butler comes off the books this season. I'd love him to stay in New York with a 5 year 50mil contract...

Larry vs "Star ()"bury Round 3

My personal favourite part of the article:

"If Coach is comparing his career to my career, he's got like a 20-year edge on me," Marbury said. "To me that sounds like there's a lot of insecurities going on ... He's basically speaking on things he's done. I think the people in New York want to know what he's going to do as far as us winning. What happened in the past is in the past."

Asked if he believes Brown crossed the line, Marbury said, "He always crosses the line. That ain't nothing new. Certain coaches deal with certain things certain ways. He handles his things through the media as opposed to sitting down and talking with people."

Marbury also took a shot at Brown's coaching prowess. He said, "Coach is a great coach. That's what everyone says," then pointed out that Brown hasn't exactly turned the Knicks into winners in his first season.

Asked if he thinks Brown's system could work, Marbury laughed and said, "You tell me. We're 17-45. You tell me. Call a spade a spade. That's just real. Maybe next year."

. Is still anyone out there who claims Marbury is sane?

Here's Brown's response in the Daily News. IMO, Starbury got owned! This sh!t is WAY past ugly.

He should just bench Marbury for the rest of the season. If the Knicks can't trade him (who the hell would take him and his $20 mil contract?) then cut him. I don't know what the fan reaction would be like in NY, but this guy's gone beyond the realms of team cancer and is now heading towards direct gunshot to the head territory.

That's about the only thing I can really agree with as far as Marbury's take is concerned. Brown does seem to handle disputes very poorly.

Brown, whose Knicks play host to less-awful Atlanta tonight, said he had no plans to seek out Marbury for a chat. The coach and point guard have been on and off speaking terms all season, and they seem to prefer communicating with one another through reporters.

That reminds me of the whole Ariza situation. I think that's really poor coaching and I think it's a really bad aspect of Larry Brown's whole approach. When there's a rift he is never interested in resolving it. He just benches the player or does what he's perhaps trying to do with Marbury, get him traded. To me, that's not only poor leadership/coaching but also rather immature. He won't pull Marbury aside and attempt to resolve this privately. He'll keep taking his own potshots in the media and letting the whole thing degenerate into a "him or me" decision. I don't think that's very professional. Mind you, I don't expect much less for a coach who met with other teams while his own was in the midst of a championship run.

Marbury makes me sick.

Bench him and you see what happens..I'm glad LB benched his ass.

Fri Mar 17, 2006 7:28 am

He should. And Lee should start over Woods..

That broke my heart. :(

I think that Stephon Marbury isn't to have the full blame, but Larry Brown isn't fully responsible either. Those two really need to work their crap out and Marbury says that Brown handles things through the media when he's basically whining and complaining through the media as well.

Fri Mar 17, 2006 9:57 am

Apparently it's now water under the bridge. I wonder how long that will last, though it's a better approach than bitching through the media.

Sat Mar 18, 2006 1:24 pm

Knicks beat Pistons!!! Yeaaa! 6 guys in double figures. Malik had 12-11, Eddy Cartman had 16 and 11. Luck of the Irish.

Sun Mar 19, 2006 2:01 am

I was digging the green.

And this had to be our biggest win of the season!

I thought we wouldn't have another one of these this season.

Sun Mar 19, 2006 2:13 am

they should keep wearing green for the rest of the year even though it's ugly. I'd rather them have an ugly jersey than seeing horrible ball being played

Sun Mar 19, 2006 2:20 am

Eddy Cartman had 16 and 11

DOUBLE FIGURES IN REBOUNDING? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
