I'd agree with Andrew. And besides, you didn't see people calling for Bosh to be traded when he started the season averaging 13 & 6. If he can stay healthy, I believe Mike Miller will prove himself as a valuable piece to the puzzle. If they want to win the title, they need him playing at or near his best.

 You guys are nuts! Why would Miami trade Miller? He's just come off an injury. Not enough time has gone through for people to determine something like that. And it isn't like he's playing horrible. He gets rebounds and does good things in the short amount of time he plays. He just hasn't found his rhythm with his shot yet. Give him some time and he'll pull through. The guy is tough. I have seen him scorch teams when he was only able to use one arm when he had that sprained shoulder injury in Washington. Spoelstra isn't trying to risk getting him hurt again when he could be a factor in the playoffs. We already know he fits well with the team if any of you saw him play before the injury during the pre-season.

Just to clarify, only Martti. was suggesting Miller be traded. X and I were disagreeing with the suggestion.

I didn't mean immediately too. Nobody wants him now.

But again, why consider trading him at all at this point? It's early days in his return from injury, it's just going to take a little time.

I will prolly get burned for this, but I'd love to trade Joel the fucking awesome Anthony for somebody like Chris Duhon. If I am right, their salary is about the same, and Duhon easily can be said better than any of PG we have. However, I don't see neither team taking this since they're rivals atm. Otherwise, this trade might benefit both sides, since ORL also needs another big, and especially with Arenas and Nelson, Duhon definitely isn't needed much.

Re: Miami Heat Thread

Thu Dec 30, 2010 10:17 am

I think that's giving Duhon a bit too much credit. Besides, with LeBron and Wade's ability to handle the ball and run the offense, I think they can get away with Arroyo and Chalmers at the point. At some point they're likely going to run into the Celtics in the Playoffs though and they'll need all the size they can get, in which case they're better off with Anthony.

Re: Miami Heat Thread

Perhaps.

It'd still be a minor trade for the Heat though. Joel isn't much needed as Erika Dempia is finding his spot on the roster while PG remains to be the weakest link. However, I do have a feeling this trade possibly might benefit the ORL more and it'd be the last thing the Heat would want as they are conference rivals.

About me offered Miller deal, I don't even think this season. If he can fit in the rotation with Jones and the others, we'll see how it would work.

Also, I'd like to see Miller+Haslem+Big Three all healthy at the same time.

And trading Anthony for Duhon? All 'the greatness' shit aside, he is the best defender on the team. He can guard quicker forwards/centers (Dwight, Amar'e) and averages 1.5 blocks in under 20 mpg. For Duhon? That be pointless. The Magic have the point secured so they'll probably trade Duhon for a 2nd rounder or cash or something. Helping out a division rival that way would be stupid.

This is why I <3 Andrew.

Good thing you redeemed yourself in one sentence. I'm on to you Martti. :shake:

Heat needing PG? You have little faith with your team's players ZanShadow. For shame. :shake:
They don't need a PG that can handle the ball and set up plays. LeBron, Wade, and even Miller can do that task.
What the Heat need is PG that can defend and hit the three. If only Mario Chalmers can get out of Spoelstra's doghouse.

Agreed (Y) , they do need a defensive point guard, Arroyo is good offensively but a liability defensively.

LeBron and D-Wade go for 78, the road streak continues. (Y)

I am hoping the Heat will be on the top of the league by early February. The Spurs have been just plain ok and not as hot as the Heat, so there is a good chance.

21-1 in last 22?

Re: Miami Heat Thread

Pretty good for LeBron. Meanwhile his former team is 1-21 in the last 22 or something similar.

Re: Miami Heat Thread

Next up is the Blake Griffin. It's purty much inevitable to avoid posterization. The question is which Heat will become the victim. Bron got served last time against Amare but I have a feeling it'll be Joel the Greatness this time or Bosh the Crap Defender.

Re: Miami Heat Thread

Thu Jan 13, 2011 7:20 am

I think the Heat should be more concerned about the W to reach their second double-digit win streak than to worry about getting posterized. That being said though, I imagine it'll be Dampier?

Re: Miami Heat Thread

definitely, Joel will bring up some block, i'm sure! and i'm waiting some good dunks from LeBoom or LeWade to put OhMyGriffin's glory aside!!!!

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said that Wade was probable for Tuesday's home game against the Atlanta Hawks, that James was going to be a game-time decision and the Bosh was doubtful.

Oh great, the losing streak will continue. :facepalm2:

Dempier, Miller, and House. These 3 really needs to find their role.

Also I don't like Chalmers as a starter. :shake:

Re: Miami Heat Thread

If LeBron hadn't struggled from the field and/or Wade not struggled from the free throw line, the Heat would've won that one handily. Wade's not the greatest free throw shooter amongst guards but 6/14 from the charity stripe is uncharacteristic for him and in stark contrast to his 14/22 from the field that included a run of 13 straight field goals at one point. LeBron was bothered by his ankle and some respectable defense alike, he's not going to go 7/24 from the field all that often.

The Non Rythmic Beat almost lost tonight! Detroit should have beaten them!

Considering Wade and Bosh were out, LeBron did a nice job putting the team on his back. A much better performance than the one against the Knicks.
