isn't it a conflict of interest that phil jackson, who is still cashing checks from NYK, allegedly recommended Vogel to his gf Buss?

If Phil's helping Jeanie with executive decisions, Lakers are in REAL trouble. We saw how great of an executive he was in NY.

It would be typical Knick luck if LA got that pick.

Unless David Stern calls in the fix!

I'll take top 4. All decent options between Morant, Barrett, and Hachimura

Getting 11th pick would have been a bit of a failure, and we probably would have settled for a shooting specialist

Lakers so shit that even Ty Lue said no. Reminded me when Kerr turned down the Knicks.

I should've died when Jerry Buss passed away.

Apparently Magic Johnson won't be replaced. Pelinka will just report directly to Jeanie Buss.

sometimes I think it is time that the Buss siblings sell their majority stake to a new owner.

Dysfunction at the junction: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/2682 ... rown-jewel

Also, Magic Johnson is not looking like a particularly good person to work for.

I think we all the same reactions with those free agent signings, lol. Not surrounding Lebron with shooters made zero sense.

Pretty much. It felt like they were going for notable names rather than players that fit.

Hey Andrew, I guess we should be happy with our teams' situation, huh? I NEVER thought I'd see the LAKERS become a dumpster fire. What must Lebron be thinking, lol...

Shannon Sharpe had me rolling with his take on this;

It is quite strange to see the three biggest markets in such disarray. The Lakers at least have LeBron so they're in a better position in that regard, but the front office turmoil seems to be up there with the Bulls and Knicks.

Go back and read the Lakers fans reactions here to the signings... Or when Lopez signed with the bucks

AD :P
Kuz :D
Josh Hart

Does it matter, though? According to LaVar Ball, the Lakers will never win another championship, and trading Lonzo was the biggest mistake they could ever make.

Great to see AD coming to the Lakers, he's been wanting that and they made it happen. Another great big in a history of historic bigs for the Lakers.

The Pelicans are definitely going to be my second team to watch with Zion/Ingram/Ball/JHart and maybe even Randle depending on what he can get on the market.

I hope Ball/Ingram are able to stay healthy and show some good stuff this season. I'm still high on Ingram, hope he explodes this season.

Also the Celtics imploding is a huge plus. :D

Hopefully they manage to get another max slot & Kawhi wants to play for the Lakers. He's the only remaining guy I'd want to give a max to. If not for Kawhi use the money to fill out the roster with good role players. Kawhi is a wet dream though, him & AD could be around for long after James calls it quits/moves to another team.

Some free agents who are intriguing: Dedmon/BroLo/Seth Curry/Danny Green/Pat Bev (probably too expensive).

Some free agents they should look at:
Darren Collison/George Hill/Ricky Rubio?
JJ Reddick/Bullock/T. Ross/Ellington
Bogdanovic/Ariza/Vince Carter/Kyle Korver?
One of the Morris twins/Gibson?
I hope they get one of Dedmon or BroLo. But I doubt Lopez leaves the good situation in Milwaukee and the Lakers FO did him dirty last year.

AD wants to play the 4 but he'll probably play a lot of minutes at the 5 at the end of games. I get him not wanting to be a full time 5 given his health and I'd prefer if they had a legit 5 on the roster. Heck even a big like McGee could come back. Robin Lopez/DeAndre Jordan..enough options.

If KCP takes a vet minimum he's welcome back, he's gotten paid the last few years by the Lakers brass.

But if Kawhi came they'd have only the midlevel and minimum contracts left I think. Then you'd really have to hope for some decent ring chasers.

I'm really excited to see Lebron & AD pick & rolls. Dude made McGee look like an all-star at the start of the season with his lobs.

Ingram/Zion/Ball is such an exciting core as well, with Gentry's up & down pace they're going to be hella fun to watch. Especially the defensive back court of Ball/Holiday.

I'm sorry but after that performance if they got Leonard it's a guaranteed title lol

Definitely need an automatic free throw shooter to close out games. If they shoot the 3 well and play some D they could easily be a starter
