Am I to take it that the excitement from the pre-season has finally evaporated? Guess I'll change the title then. :P

Haha yeah that was thanks to a Tyrus Thomas Buzzer Beater if i remember correctly...

Yes indeed. :)

Looking ahead on the ESPN International website there's a lot of Bulls games coming up on ESPN, so it seems I'll have more than a few chances to see them put together a good performance before the season is over.

This is the first time I've really had Foxtel for the NBA season, and it is complete garbage. Yes it's good to have 3 or 4 games a week, yes it's good to have any NBA coverage at all, but for god sakes, I never want to see another game from the following...

Spurs, Cavs, Pistons... I cringe when it's "COMING TO YOU LIVE THIS WEEK ON FOX SPORTS!! THE SPURS VS THE CAVS, FOLLOWED BY THE CAVS VS THE PISTONS, THEN SWITCH IT OVER TO ESPN FOR THE SPURS VS THE PISTONS".

If I wasn't a Laker fan they would be in that last too.

Some weeks it hasn't been too bad, getting a Hawks game was a surprise (but of course, it was against the Spurs). There's still a bit of a glut of those teams though.

Thu Dec 13, 2007 4:47 pm

Yeah i hate watching the Spurs, Pistons, Heat and Mavs. But i'll happily watch Suns or Jazz or any team out of the ordinary... (Except boring teams like Indiana and the Clippers)

What's boring about running the floor and 7 guys scoring in double figures every night?

Lol I was wondering why you would possibly be posting in a thread about NBA games on Australian pay-TV.

I'd love some more Bucks games... the only way basketball will ever get back to the popularity it was in Australia is if there are more Aussies succeeding in the USA, but that would be completely pointless if no one gets to actually see it. It looks like we might have a mini golden-age with the college kids we've got coming through, but we already have an NBA player who is doing pretty well for himself. Only two Bucks games all season so far.

How about Suns and Utah?

Theres only been 2 pistons games... they just dont show the east in general. Way too many west games. And WHY THE FUCK dont they just have the espn double header... for all the jokes about scrabble championships, its actually true...

Didn't watch it, I don't like the Suns... but I'd definitely rather they show that than another game involving San Antonio, Cleveland or apparently Detroit to a lesser extent. I think it will be the worst at the end of the season when some of the games actually start to matter but Fox/ESPN are just showing random pointless matches.

Thu Dec 13, 2007 9:20 pm

the only full game that I've sat through recently was the Bucks-Clippers....that was to see how Bogut went....I don't mind seeing teams like Suns play....hate Rockets, Cavs, Pistons, Heat games....I can stand Spurs, Lakers & Jazz games as they both execute well, although I don't want to see them every week....

teams I'd like to see more of:
Sonics (I want to get to Durant at least once or twice this season)
Bobcats (for obvious reasons - ie. Jared Dudley)
Kings (my designated fav team)
Bucks (Bogut)
Hornets (Chris Paul is ripping it up & we haven't even seen them once)
Pacers (only need to see them once or twice....would be good to see them against Suns or something)
Celtics (the Big 3 & they've only shown them once so far)
T'wolves (only need to see them once)
Memphis (I wanna see Juan Carlos Navarro & same others)

I've just listed 9 teams that aren't getting coverage....I haven't even included Washington, Toronto, Portland, New Jersey, LA Clippers & even Chicago....so that's 15 teams (half the league) that aren't getting played almost at all....so we see the other 15 teams play all the time, but the same 5 teams (Spurs, Lakers, Mavs, Heat & Cavs) playing the other 10 teams....

they also need to show college basketball in the evenings for us non-IQ people

Mon Dec 17, 2007 9:05 pm

Hornets games would be sweet... same as Boston and Sonics
Aside from that, there aren't many teams I want to watch.

Pacers played a week or so ago, btw...

I am seriously considering calling up the foxtel programmer to find out where he lives, so i can paint his house purple and gold. Maybe he will get the picture...

If that was me (the foxtel programmer), I'd probably take that the exact opposite way. Now if you were to paint his house every colour EXCEPT purple and gold....

He probably still wouldnt get it.

They have access to whatever is on NBA TV so it's not like they're choosing from a select few games, they really need to employ someone who knows wtf they're doing.

damn, must have missed it....probably due to studying for the big exam I had....

Thu Dec 20, 2007 12:01 am

Hahaha. Jesus H. Go Miami. That's ridiculous. We shouldnt be seeing bad teams three times a week. At least the Lakers are halfway decent this year.

Thu Dec 20, 2007 12:16 am

6 Heat games, 4 Suns games, 3 Cavs games, 2 Spurs games... just shoot me now.

Thu Dec 20, 2007 6:21 am

The one positive is I will get to see Kings & T'wolves for one game....this is getting ridiculous....I think once I finish my 2 year Foxtel stint, I might get rid of it....the truth is the last full game I saw was Bucks vs Clippers & I also watched bits & pieces of the Jazz vs Spurs game....haven't watched any games since....I watched more A League games than I do NBA :(

Thu Dec 20, 2007 12:12 pm

Fuuuuuuuck where's the Nuggets? :x

Fri Dec 21, 2007 3:50 am

Go Heat.

Fri Dec 21, 2007 6:26 am

I don't mind the Suns games as they are fun to watch & Nash is just a Godsend....and there is also a 3% chance I get to see Sean Marks play

Fri Dec 21, 2007 11:08 am

Anyone catch the end of Boston v Detroit? The last 6 or so minutes of game 1 of a double header is always on before the scheduled game 2 on ESPN or TNT :D

Fri Dec 21, 2007 11:14 pm

Timberwolves vs Heat LMAO! what a sucky, sucky game.

I have to wait till the end of next month to watch the Blazers FFS.

and 2 of them blowouts...

Unfortunately for me, you were on the money with that prediction. On the bright side it was nice to see Aaron Gray doing some good things and Gordon's dunk in the Spurs game was unexpected but those were three difficult games to watch. That's the nature of being a true fan, though. You watch your team and stick by them through the good and the bad.

Only 2 Heat games?

Are you sure that's right?
