Turkey? It was the beginning of the third, not the end of the third, that swung that game. The US managed to get into the bonus within a couple of minutes, which prevented Turkey's strategic use of fouls to slow the game down, which was what allowed the US to break away.

Absolutely fantastic first half. Watching Turkey continually frustrate Team USA was so much more entertaining than the up-and-down spectacle it ended up turning into.

Philippines is a very great team, imo. I think they have what it takes to at least win 2 or more games but there are just too many faulty "plays" for them. I don't like calling it a "play" since what they would only do is like this:

Inbound to PG >> Dribbles >> Blatche goes to the wing; Leaves Pingris at the paint >> Pass to someone on the wing (Either Chan or someone) >> Shoot >> Doesn't get it >> Pingris is undersized, gets outrebounded. REPEAT 9999x.

OR

Inbound to PG >> Dribble out shot clock because of uncalled pick and rolls accompanied by shitty, weakass picks >> Passes it to someone beyond the three >> Shoots >> Clunks. The end.

Don't get me wrong, I watched the Philippines play in the Asia Qualifiers (I think) and they played great, with passion. But this is a new PH team that I am seeing right now. BTW, where the fuck is your El Granada?
