Re: 2012 Playoffs: (1) Bulls Vs. (8) 76ers

Just a woeful second half performance by the Bulls, while the Sixers played some great basketball and took advantage of every mistake. The way the Bulls played in the first half suggests they can still win the series without Rose, but it can't happen if they don't sustain that effort for the full 48 minutes. Game 2 is as good an example as any of that.

Hard as it is to chuckle about the situation, I've got to admit that's pretty well done.

Wow, watching this is a chore. The Sixers shot like 3/80 FG in the 3rd quarter for a change.

Much as Noah's one of my favourite players, it's a bad day at the office when he breaks your ankles.

Looks like the bulls are being haunted by injuries right now I can't believe Noah got his ankle injured darn it

19-2 run in the 4th and we go up 2-1! Holiday and Turner are the co-MVPs of this series so far.

Wretched fourth quarter effort by the Bulls. 5 points and 7 shot attempts for Luol Deng in 37 minutes. Inexcusable. Feels like the upset is coming, though I'll insist on a couple of Bill Simmons' footnotes.

Apparently. The Sixers are winning those games by hustling. They shot ~30% FG for three quarters and finished with 34% thanks to the 4th, yet the Bulls couldn't get a large enough lead to secure the win. I think they did lead by double digits at one point, but even that and seemingly about fifty offensive rebounds in the 4th (mostly by Gibson, but even Korver rebounded his own miss, I think) did not get it done.

The two highest-paid Sixers got 5 points and 2/14 FG combined.

I also have to say both Thibodeau and Noah are insane/stupid, whichever you prefer. After such an awful ankle twist, Thibs subs him back in twice, despite him clearly not being able to run and despite having guys like Asik and Gibson on the bench. That's how the Sixers run started - Noah was too slow to rotate and they got some easy baskets.

The Bulls lost the one player on their team that can close and create opportunities to stop runs when they lost Rose, and it's showing here. They've shown they can win the series, but they've also shown that they can lose it just as easily. Obviously the health issue is coming true and no one can catch a break.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion, even if it is expressed rather poorly/fanboyishly.

Noah wanted to give it a go, so he was given the opportunity. Unfortunately, it was too bad a sprain for him to be effective. Whether he subbed back in or not though, I suspect the Sixers would've been able to take advantage of the situation.

It was nice to see fellow Heat fans lately(& finally) but I feel I still would like to be alone sometimes these days.

In other news, Noah is going to miss the remainder of the series due to the sprained ankle.... There goes half of our remaining possibilities to win the series...

One game away now. Another disgusting offensive game by most of our team, but Hawes was solid and Jrue got himself together after a horrible first half. Those back-to-back threes in the 4th quarter were huge. Looking to finish them off in game 5.

Can't say this would be as impressive or exciting as the last couple 8 seeds to advance. Ugly series.
