David West is headed to Boston

Dallas will do a sign and trade with the Knicks for a Trade Exception and a low salary player.

Wizards acquire Ronny Turiaf

And to add on to the poster above, David West is going to the Celtics in a sign and trade, with Jermaine O'Neal most likely going to the Hornets

if new york did not do the melo trade and ny ended also with chandler they would have a strong line up
stoudamire
t.chandler
gallanari
w.chandler
felton

how dissapointing/but then again.wilson is stuck in china

I have to disagree, I think the Melo trade only helped NY when you add in that they now have Chandler. Plus if they can get a stronger 2 guard, they could automatically gave a top 4 seed in my mind.

It would be great to see him in miami..ALthought even if he will become FA he will ask for much money..not veteran minimum..

Agree . Melo is a good thing to NY. They just need the 2 guards as you said, and a little bit stronger bench..

Why Stat? If im the knicks, I definitely trade Melo before Stat. The Stat CP3 combo would be incredible.

I see mad love for Melo everywhere for weird reasons. The dude's overrated in that sense.

CP3 and Carmelo are good friends so the chemistry is their.. I chosen Stoudemire because Chandler is there now, I will see again what CP3 and Chandler did when they are on Hornets before..

I don't think he is overrated...He has respect and love due to the job his doing on the court..No one would say him "no" if melo wanted to join to any team..

(Y) (Y) (Y) DEFENSE MAKES THE TEAM TO WIN A GAME,not offense (it would be great if Ny had a better bench.Playing good D to rest the starters.) and also starters (like melo, amare) should become better defensivly.

David Aldridge wrote:Source: Celtics close to deal with All-Star big man West

A source briefed on discussions Friday evening said that the Boston Celtics are close to a deal with free agent power forward David West, who has been with the New Orleans Hornets since being drafted in 2003.

West, 31, was expected to be one of the top free agents in this year's class, but he is coming off of a torn ACL suffered late last season in a game against Utah. West has diligently rehabbed his injury in North Carolina last summer, but teams have been slow to make significant offers to him.

A two-time All-Star, West has averaged 16.4 points and 7.3 rebounds in his eight NBA seasons. If healthy, West would be a boon whether starting or coming off the bench for the Celtics, who acquired Brandon Bass earlier Friday from Orlando for forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis.

I agree, I loved Bass when he played for the Mavs and West is a good veteran.

In other news, the Magic have given Dwight Howard's agent permission to talk to the Lakers, Mavs, and Nets. I think the Nets will be out when they pick up Nene, a quality Center in his own right.

I also loved Bass for the Mavs then punched somebody after finding out he was traded. Guy was the perfect backup for Dirk.
