Home court taken care of, now to take at least 1 on the road.

I liked how the Heat earned their win tonight. The Celtics were known to thrive in today's type of match but it was the Heat that kept playing tough D while making key baskets after another.
Wed May 04, 2011 7:13 pm
I'd say it was less the Heat's D than the fact the Celtics offense has fallen into the toilet over the last few months.

Wow way to rub the victory in ESPN.

Oh now that is priceless!

If the Heat win in 4 it proves my point about the Celtics collapsing down the stretch. Bwahaha

as bad as the celts have looked, in the end they've only lost in miami's gym which are games miami should win. boston has 2 at home and if they win those, all they gotta do is take one more game in miami
i dunno, it's weird because everyone just assumed boston was the better team with homecourt advantage so they expected boston to win these games in miami or something
Thu May 05, 2011 10:46 am
Idk man maybe it's finally safe to say Miami is just better now. Even before the Celtics made that trade they dominated Miami on their own court.

I have the heat in 6, but i'm not too sure even about that. The only reason i give the celtics two wins, is because if Shaquille O'neal comes back, then I don't think the heat (especially Lebron) will be able to drive towards the basket for that inside shot.
The heat are probably going to have to shoot a bunch of outside shots if Shaq comes back and is healthy.

Maybe LeBron will drive to the basket, will make a anklebreaker and bye bye Shaq for another +10 games

(Shaq this year is made of glass, he breaks almost for nothing)

I wouldn't say for nothing. He's pushing 40 and 20+ years of competitive basketball has taken its toll on his 7'1", 300+ pound frame, with a few injuries along the way. It's no surprise that his body is breaking down and that he can't bounce back from injury the way he might have done when he was younger.

Shaq is already limping
Now Rondo is most likely done for the series. ouch. that is a painful way to end your year. btw that should have been a foul on rondo! not wade! Rondo pulled and pushed Wade who then lost his balance causing Rondo to lose his balance.
Now Pierce is hobbling.
anyone remember my prediction?

Horrible shooting night for LBJ.

Garnett - that's how every pic in sports should be.

...and Rondo came back to finish it...

at least he didnt leave on a wheelchair. i guess it looked worse than it actually was if they were able to simply "pop it back in" and have him come back. sounded more like a shoulder injury.
Sun May 08, 2011 2:36 pm
Did you see it? It was his elbow dislocating. He didn't move his arm once he came back and played more or less one handed.
Sun May 08, 2011 3:02 pm
Props to Rondo.

Being able to pop it back in and for Rondo to continue means that it didn't need surgery (unless further tests prove otherwise). Treatment for that 'lite' dislocation still requires about a month without moving/bending your elbows.

yeah i saw it on youtube. didn't watch the game past the 1st quarter... zzzz

KG on a rampage. Dude still got game and can step up even more when you need him. 28 and 18 is impressive considering that he usually does not put up that high numbers (despite being effective & the most important part of the team's defense).
I hope the Cs can tie the series. After losing two in a row, the Heat may have problems to get back to their game.
