i think it really depends on how heavily the Hornets go to that pick & roll game with CP3 and either okafor or gray. and also whether the lakers are dumb enough to still switch on those. its no coincidence there were heavy doses of pick & roll in the Hornets' wins in games 1 & 4.

Maybe?

It's plausible at least right?

he's shooting over 50% from inside the paint, mid-range, and 3 point range, averaged 25.5 ppg, 7 rpg, 11.5 apg, & 2 spg for a whopping 34.5 PER. the only thing holding him back is his subpar FT shooting at 77.5% and his unusually high amount of turnovers (5 tpg at home as opposed to 2 tpg in LA). somewhere in the world right now, John Hollinger has a boner.

Lakers victory was clear

The Hornets started out great but the Lakers came alive in the second, that dunk by Kobe really seemed to ignite them. I think the Hornets stand a decent chance of forcing a Game 7 but even if they do I'd say it'll end up being a repeat of Game 5.

Anyone else think Kobe should have picked up a flagrant foul for that shot on Emeka Okafor?
Who am I kidding, it's Kobe...

okafor did hit him in the head trying to block that first monster dunk

Anyone remember this from Harlan in Game 2?
Hilarious.

Even though Marv Albert remains my favourite NBA announcer, Harlan's right up there with his delivery.

lol they should've let him say that in the 2k games. i'm not the biggest fan of harlan, but there's much worse out there. i'm partial to marv & the breen espn trio

Barring one of the most miraculous comebacks in NBA history, the Lakers are moving on. Shame the Hornets couldn't have made it a little more competitive in the last couple of games but overall a commendable performance especially without one of their starters in West.

Valiant effort by the Hornets. Chris Paul is a hell of a player and and Monty a hell of a coach. Unfortunately for them, the Lakers are still the Lakers.

Did anyone see the perfectly clean defensive play Emeka Okafor made yesterday on Kobe? There's no way that was a defensive foul, which is what the refs called.
I'm not going to say that the shitty refereeing is the reason the Hornets lost last night, but the NBA really wants LA to threepeat, don't they?
