Eddie Curry really played well tonight. 20 points 15 reb
Curry learns how to rebound!
triple OT
His rebound stat just got padded because of the OT's.
Tue Jan 03, 2006 3:06 pm
true but in the OTs he had quiet a few big rebounds.. then again Kurt Thomas fouled out..

He probably picked up that old slam magazine that predicted qyntel woods (who had back to back 50 pt games in HS) rookie of the year and was like, "Sign him."

Exactly.
What a game! Game of the year to me. I can't remember seeing an OT game since the Nets vs. Pistons in the 2004 Playoffs.
Lee was the difference maker.
Biggest win by far for the Knicks. Hopefully they keep up all the good they did in this game.
Crawford had bad shot selection at times during the game, but thankfully Marbury was smart enough to take it to the hoop at the end, even though he was settling for jump shots towards the end of regulation.
James is useless. Knicks should give him away.

I was at that game!

Although I've hated that stupid redhead Scalabrine ever since!
Anyway, tonight's Knicks game (even though I didn't see it.. thank you Sportscenter) seemed to be VERY exciting.. wish I could have watched. Triple OT games are always good for fantasy basketball leagues, and I just cashed in with Marion and Curry

Ditto. I have Marbury and Crawford on mine in one of the 3 leagues I'm in on Yahoo.
And that Nets/Pistons games was RJ's coming out party. And the Billups 3 to tie it in of the the quarters/OTs was a sign of things to come.

How about David Lee's first start? 10-11 shooting, 23 points and 15 rebounds.
oh, and finally Curry learns how to rebound!
that was not david lee's first start , it was his 3rd

Nash had a career high 22 assists.

Ariza is out of the rotation
Larry Brown's game of roster roulette claimed another victim yesterday when the Knicks' coach announced that second-year forward Trevor Ariza not only has lost the starting job to rookie David Lee but also has been beaten out for a spot in the playing rotation by newcomer Qyntel Woods.
The news blindsided Ariza, who was informed by a public relations official.
"It's the first time hearing this, so it's a little bit of a shock," Ariza told reporters before the Knicks' game against Phoenix last night at the Garden. Ariza said he's tried to do everything Brown asked and never got the impression he clearly had been "beaten out," as Brown said.
"That's his choice of words," Ariza said. "I'm a little shocked ... To hear it from somebody else telling me that somebody has beaten me out without flat-out outplaying me, I've never had that happen before."
Ariza never has considered asking for a trade, but he is mystified by Brown's methods. "I think everybody is still confused," Ariza said. "Nobody really knows how to look at things or what he sees, what he wants. Everybody just tries to do his best."

What do you expect from Larry Brown? He changes like the wind.
Liked what I saw from the young cats last night. That's what Brown needs to do - f--- any playoff talk, just play the kids and let them improve.
Wed Jan 04, 2006 6:52 am
yeah let the rookies play mutch and improve
Wed Jan 04, 2006 9:39 am
Ariza hasn't been playing well as of late... I watched him in the Bucks game and he was just not there

He better get an offense more than just relying on dunks if he wants to be good in this league.

Larry Brown - Ariza's 'delusional'. Check this out;

Calling a player delusional. That's gotta be great for morale.
Sun Jan 08, 2006 8:19 am
What I don't like is that the story never explains why Brown called him delusional. That's horrendous writing.
I'm suprised to come on here and have no one talking about our big win over the Washington Wizards last night. Our first 20+ win of the season and Knicks have a winning streak.
Frye tied a career-high 30 points, including an explosive dunk.
Marbury had a good game with 16 points and most importantly 11 assists.
Nate Robinson also had 16 points, including 2 of 4 from downtown.
Along with Frye, Mo Taylor was a spark off the bench yet again.
Sun Jan 08, 2006 8:41 am
+ david lee had 6 pt and 8 reb in 24 min.
frye had some nice dunks in that game too,

wonder what is better for morale... getting called a pussy or delusional....

good win today although Ray Allen had a pretty good look. Good game again by Marbury 23 points and 15 assist.
Mon Jan 09, 2006 7:08 am
nice game for the rookies
robinson had 17pt and 4ast in 26 min
lee had 9pt and 5reb in 24 min
frye had 15pt and 5 reb in 21 min

Also, another nice game by Mo Taylor off the bench.
3 in row!

You can come back to the thread now.
Should Knicks trade Crawford? They've won 2 of these 3 big wins without him.

IMO they should try to ship Crawford, but not for that reason. You can't tell what would've happened if Crawford would've played in these games. He'd probably jack up a lot of useless/dumb shots in crunch time as usual but still..
Mon Jan 09, 2006 10:47 pm
I think shipping em'd be good myself.
I like the line-ups Brown's been using the last two games and Crawford might just mess things up.
Tue Jan 10, 2006 1:16 am
Ariza got the Kwame treatment... At least he skipped 'faggot' and went straight to 'dellusional'...
Tue Jan 10, 2006 1:24 am
Imagine how the situation would end up if that team had Spree on its roster. He wouldn't just hang that LB motherfucker, he would hang him and send all his dogs at him.
