Not neccessarily it was a bad idea either, other than how he handled to make the decision. I guess the time will tell if the Decision was a good one for him or not, but true that many fans didn't like his decision to be with Wade and Bosh. Can't please everyone, might as well please himself.

There's a difference between the decision and The Decision. The Decision was a complete blunder, but the decision was only bad for the NBA and his legacy.

All these legacy crap and being bad for NBA are yet to be seen. If any, the NBA is rather more interesting league now and legacy craps will die away if he wins with his new team. Similar craps were to be said even if he stayed in CLE and not win rings.

When I say The Decision - capital T, capital D - I'm talking about the one hour special rather than LeBron's specific decision of where he wanted to sign.

Whoa Andrew! Take it easy on ZanShadow. He hasn't gone past his spelling lessons yet and now you're showing him capitalization. His mind is slow and isn't ready for that yet.

At least his mind is faster than Diddy's.

LeBron’s Q Score takes huge hit

Means nothing when it comes time to play basketball of course (and it's not stopping the endorsement deals either) but it demonstrates how his popularity took a hit and how much of a fiasco the ESPN special was. It's certainly a fall from grace as even with a couple of incidents prior to The Decision airing his popularity was better than average amongst professional athletes. His attempts at damage control wouldn't have helped.

No doubt Bron took a big hit in his reputation. Hoping to see that to play as a motivator.

He's hated in most cities. Now he added Cleveland and NY to that list.

Phil Jackson's take on the Heat: Talent doesn't always win

"They got great talent," Jackson said in an interview with ESPN 1000 in Chicago. "There's no question about their talent they have. But, talent doesn't always win. The team that shows the best teamwork will win it. We think that [the Lakers] have established something. But, if [the Heat] can unite -- and build quickly -- they might be able to do it."

Jackson teams have won 11 of the past 20 NBA title and the coach is always able to add a little historical perspective.

"I always refer to when Wilt Chamberlain was traded from Philadelphia to Los Angeles and that put [Elgin] Baylor, [Jerry] West and Chamberlain together -- three of the top scorers in NBA history -- and they never won a championship together the four years they were together," Jackson said.

"It's not always scorers and talent that wins it. But it's teamwork that does it."

Fair call by Jackson and that's certainly the question mark that's hanging over the Heat this season. Wade, James and Bosh are joining forces in Miami because they want to play together, but will they be able to? I think it's possible, in Boston we saw a new big three formed and win a championship the same season back in 2008 but until/unless it happens the skepticism isn't going away.

Very true. Can't disagree with anything Andrew or Phil said. If any, the Lakers got both the talent and the teamwork though, perhaps more than the Heat.

boston did it cause they are all players willing to take less, willing to be less for the better of the team. i have doubts the miami 3 will be able to do this

I think it certainly helped that Boston's Big Three were older and their hunger for a championship by that point in their careers made them willing to sacrifice individual accolades and stats. However, I think it could work in Miami too. I think the willingness is there since they've orchestrated their free agency as a trio and obviously wanted to play together. I think Bosh is going to be comfortable not having to be the alpha dog, as much as LeBron loves being the centre of attention he prefers to defer on the court and Wade is accustomed to being The Man for the Heat. They're as yet unproven as a trio and a team as a whole, but I'd say it's feasible.

Phil Jackson explained how will be Heat '11.

Erik Spoelstra is very young. About starting five (Chalmers+Wade+Queen James+Bosh+Big Z): Overall age is 27,6. Odom and Kobe became veterans. About Kobe+Artest+Gasol+Bynum+D-Fish: 30. Anyway, this team can make ONLY PLAYOFFS, NO MORE.
