Lol, this is the Knicks thread, but I suppose it's the Knicks who would be the ones helping the Bulls with their draft picks

This is NLSC. Staying on topic is not our way of doing things.

minus a couple mistakes in the last few minutes the knicks did well.. they need to keep this up and don't make those mistakes and maybe there will be a few more W's in the future..

Sun Jan 01, 2006 7:42 pm

wow, JC's game against Milwaukee in the last few mins sucked

0-2FT's.....1 real bad 3 attempt, miss and Bucks score because he didn't cover the break......TO....airball 3

Ouch, effectively ending and chance of a NY win.

That's a huge problem with the Knick roster - Isiah assembled a bunch of cats with little or no basketball IQ. I can't stand Crawford.

And if Isiah adds Jalen Rose to this team, he should be fired A.S.A.P. The last thing we need is a veteran past his prime with a phat contract. Knicks have to bite the bullet, and let these bad contracts expire.

Nothing to Toast at the Garden

Another excellent article by Frank Isola. Unlike the Knick broadcasters, he tells it like it is.

I think they can be a good team with Marbury, playing the way he did against Milwaukee. Nate Robinson is a backup PG, given his lack of defense. Jerome James is lost, he can't stay out of foul trouble. David Lee is a keeper, he plays hard.

Really, this teams problems is bad decisions on court more than anything else. They just give it away.

Crawford had a horrible game and really cost them the game at the end. Horrible shot selection with those 3 attempts at the end. And his shot selection was showing great improvement before that too.

Marbury had his best game probably ever as a team player. Big game after he probably had his worst offensive game ever.

Frye hasn't been playing as good lately.

What makes Nate Robinson a crybaby? Hasn't he been sucking up to referees lately? Saying good call and trying to get on their good side.

Marbury once said that the Knicks would never win a championship with Charlie Ward as their point guard, and he was right. But at least they got to the Finals and won plenty of playoff games along the way. Marbury has produced zero postseason wins and plenty of angst.

haha

The Knicks have played 81 games since Marbury called himself the league's best point guard. They've gone 24-57 since that infamous comment.

Dolan should begin his next conversation with Thomas by asking: "Remind me again, what were you thinking when you signed Jerome James?"
yup

The official word is that Thomas was scouting college games. That's nice, considering that Chicago owns the Knicks' 2006 first-round pick as part of the Eddy Curry deal. So now we know what Thomas means by rebuilding: he's restocking the hated Bulls.
damn all it took was to say "lottery protected" and we would of been fine..

Mon Jan 02, 2006 11:19 am

in his defense, Zeke stilll does own the SAS 1st pick i think.

A lot of Bulls fans were split in their opinion of Crawford and whether Paxson made the right decision or not to trade him. Naturally, Bulls fans have had a slight interest to see how he fares there

and yeh- since the Bulls fan do own the NYK pick and because of that whole fiasco with Curry, the interested in NYK has picked up quite a bit ;)

i got a nice e-mail from the nyknicks
it said that david lee will be starting at the sf spott the rest of the season.
that is good news, but putting him at sf is not the best, rebounding is his game, he is not that great of a shooter, but he is at least starting.

Tue Jan 03, 2006 3:38 am

He goes from not playing at all to starting. It seems like Larry Brown has no clue what he is doing.

Tue Jan 03, 2006 4:09 am

yeah , and y is he starting at sf, pf is ok b cuse he can rebound , not a shot blocker, cant shoot, shoots only 50% from ft
but he is a highflyging dunker

I haven't noticed anything above average let alone great about his dunking ability.

He and Ariza need to get J's. Neither can really shoot the ball.

it's sad, we still don't have a starting 5 that starts night in and out and it's january.

Wow, I just checked the standings and the knicks are in last place in the NBA. Who would of ever predicted this??

The Bulls, maybe? :proud:

I didn't predict last place, but I knew the Knicks would struggle this season. One look at the roster says it all.

Tue Jan 03, 2006 9:17 am

They's bounce back to 50% eventually, but by then it'll be to late to board the playoff train.

Knicks Suspend Jerome James

Tue Jan 03, 2006 9:36 am

Great job signing this loser, Isiah!

 Isiah kinda GMs in the NBA like we do in videogames. Go after the guy who is good at the time. Marbury...Crawford...James, who was good for like 2 weeks...etc.

He probably picked up that old slam magazine that predicted qyntel woods (who had back to back 50 pt games in HS) rookie of the year and was like, "Sign him."

Maybe Zeke is a fan of NBA Live 06? Considering Live's crappy dynasty it's no surprise the Knicks are shite.

Tue Jan 03, 2006 1:42 pm

Wow triple OT win!!
But man stilll 1 problem i saw in this game.. well 2
first the free throw issue
\but a reoccuring thing.. crawford shot selection towards the end of the game. He had a bad shot towards the end of the regulation, a lost man's shot at the end of the 2nd OT. Finally marbury got the ball at towards the end of the 3rd OT and he finished the game.

on the positive side Eddie Curry really played well tonight. 20 points 15 reb (Y)
David Lee also played well too, 23points 15 reb

Tue Jan 03, 2006 2:23 pm

3ot thriller! what a game!
How about David Lee's first start? 10-11 shooting, 23 points and 15 rebounds.
oh, and finally Curry learns how to rebound!
