Lakers lost 3 straight

Postby Isaiah on Sun Feb 05, 2006 1:38 pm

After a 130-97 win over the Knicks, the Lakers were supposed to have "easy" wins over the next 3 opponents, but have lost handily.

Pacers 105, Lakers 79
Charlotte 112, Lakers 102
Hornets 106, Lakers 90

you think theyll lose their last 2 games of this road trip? They play at Dallas and at Houston.

I'll say they go 1-1 or 0-2 in those games, most likely defeating Houston if they split the two games in Texas.

Houston is playing better now because they have Yao and T-Mac. The Lakers will be playing without Lamar Odom, so I don't think they will win either of the two games.

Edit:

Did anyone else see Kirk Synder dunk over Von Wafer? Best dunk of the year.

Also, the play by Chris Paul at the end of the quarter, dribbling behind his back twice and making a very tough scoop shot at the buzzer was amazing.

Just caught the highlight on SportsCenter. Surely has to be a top ten candidate at the end of the year.

As I said in the Lakers thread, just caught it on SportsCenter. There's no way that's being left off the top ten on the countdown at the end of the year.

Damn... another loss. Ah well, I reackon they will just need to look ahead to Dallas, Houston and Memphis and try to finish the road trip at 3-4 and win another at home.

Those are tough games. But the Lakers did beat Dallas twice surprisingly. I say they go 1-2 , losing to Houston and Memphis.

That wasn't a laker highlight...the guy who got dunked on was laker. I was more impressed by carmelo's dunk on ratliff though..thats a real fucking poster.

If it was any other day I would have cut it off because they lost and were on the receiving end of that play.

So now the Lakers are mired in a horrible losing streak , losing 4 out of 5, and are getting bitchslapped by the best and worst of the NBA. Dallas beating the Lakers is understandable , but Charlotte? And these games haven't even been close at all. I guess the Kobe MVP sig has got to go , ever since I put it up it has been bad luck for the Lakers.
