i would say "a university". it sounds weird as "an" simply because university starts with the "y" sound and you wouldn't say "an yo-yo" or something.

btew, I fell asleep during the 2nd & 3rd quarters of the first 3 games only to be woken up by my roommate to watch the end of the games.

I keep hearing stuff about KG wanting to go back to 'Sota, since he finally got his ring. It's probably bullshit, but who knows?

mainly thats what it took, but without the other guys joining the team this never would have happened, prime example is posey. posey helped this team a ton this season and gets overlooked far too often.

Not to mention the fact that Boston would have won about 35 games if Pierce didn't miss so many, and they didn't tank.

Which specific incidents during the course of the 2008 Playoffs conclusively prove that the NBA rigged the whole postseason to end up with Lakers/Celtics, or the Celtics as champions?

The Spurs/Lakers Fisher fouled Brent Barry on a 3pt shot that would have won them the game(if he made it, but he is a very good shooter)
Last Year Finals Game 3 They fouled LeBron on a 3pt shot same as^
Maimi/Mavs OMG!!  i couldn't find the one for the finals but this is kinda what hapened http://youtube.com/watch?v=STxH9_Giy6Q&feature=related

Spurs/Lakers was practically given to the Spurs by the refs. The Lakers outplayed them, and in the final 2 minutes, less fouls are called.

LeBron said himself that there was no foul. It would be in the NBA's best interest to give him the call anyway.

On Miami/Dallas, you've got a case.

The only incident you mentioned that was relevant to this postseason was the one from the Spurs/Lakers series and I would agree that it was a shaky call. Still, the Spurs had a more than ample chance to win that series but twice blew comfortable leads as they simply went cold from the field.

I expect either a celtic repeat next year...or lebron winning his first championship :P

This was the best finals i've seen since the bulls were in it. KG's emotion after the game was tremendous...they could make a movie about this year's celtics..it was that good. This is why basketball is the best sport in the world for me.

I actually believe Lakers will get to the Finals next year, but for some reason I see them losing to.. Cavaliers or some other team.

Don't worry, he'll bandwagon whoever gets to the Finals as it is.

Not like I blame him, the Knicks are pretty much a great example of epic fail right now.

Rofl nice dreams. 2 years after Big 3 retires, Rondo will be the Finals MVP with 22 PPG, 11 APG, 3 RPG and 2 SPG in finals.

EDIT: Or injuried
EDIT2: Or not

I feel honored that replying and directing your posts towards my mine on this forum is so important to you but You don't stop do you? Do you wake up in the morning then set out to read and attack every post I make? Seriously, give it a rest and move on. Attacking the knicks? Calling me a bandwagoner?....lol oh god..i'm hurt now..better go kill myself.

I'm sure there are tons of other people on this forum that would be offended by what you have to say and take the time to flame aimlessly with you. I'm not the one though...take a hint guy.

It might be possible for lakers to win the championship next year...if their bigs can grow a pair of nuts. Then again....why does it matter what I think? If you believe in your team like I believe in my teams...you shouldn't give a flying fuck if one person on this forum doesn't. Do you honestly believe the cavaliers have a good shot at winning next year? No? good then.

Really? ;) ;) ;) Cause I could've sworn that you made about 5 or 6 posts after mine over the past month trying to make an unsuccessful attempt at offending me. I musta been getting under myself. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

With that said...I apologise for feeling flattered that every other post you make has something to do with me. ;) ;) ;) ;)

I don't know about you but I'm gonna try reeeeaaallly hard not to reply to anything more you have to say on this forum from now on. I don't want to give you the impression that you're special and I can't exist on this forum without acknowledging your existance. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

This is ofcourse totally up to you but if you want you can also take it as a personal challenge on yourself and pray to whoever you pray to: "Oh God it's difficult...but can I...the great jackal (don't know your name) actually ignore posts made by Yohance "BIG Green" Bailey? I might fail but for your sake lord...why not try? He's sure as hell doing it and it doesn't seem so difficult for him...why me?!!"

Nice post...to a post of two lines.

Anyways, as a Laker fan I'm expecting to see LA back to the Finals with the addition of Bynum and perhaps a few other hardnosed players. On the eastern side...it could very well be Boston again, Detroit seems to be wanting to alter their roster a bit so that could lead to a "find your comfort zone" year for them. I don't see the Cavs making it to the Finals, as good as Lebron is, I don't see it happening. The Magic are an interesting team out East too...but with the chemistry and their big three leading the way, I think I'm leaning towards Boston winning it again.

The Spurs on the Western side though have got to rejuvinate, seriously. Their core might still be very strong (Duncan, Parker & Manu) but the people surrounding them...yeesh.

New Orleans could also make a good push for it, if anything, I don't want them facing LA, they were raped by Pierce on the pick & roll, I can't imagine what Chris Paul would do to them.

Ah, the fun is back in basketball. :)

I always wanted to see games being close down to the final seconds because it's more entertaining to watch (even with the teams I support) but I never thought that I would enjoy watching a blowout game such as game six, just amazing what the Celtics did.

Also, I get goosebumps seeing the numerous recaps of that clinching game and what the Celtics had to go through in the playoffs, just imagine what it will be like when the NBA makes a DVD featuring the Finals/2008 champs. :-o
I'm guessing the theme of "comeback" will be used prominently or excessively. C's coming back to the Finals after 21 years, Lakers/Kobe coming back after 2004, C's jaw-dropping comeback in game 4, and if the Lakers had won it a comeback from being down 3-1.

Don't be sad Laker fans, with a (hopefully) healthy Bynum next year, with his contribution he will surely help the Lakers in preventing a 39 point loss and just cut it down to a 15-20 point loss . :P
HE'S USING HYPNOSIS!

It's a quote from SNL,
They say bitch is the new black: being a bitch is what in replacing the black phase {like how lots of NOT black ppl act black(all of a sudden listen to lots of hip hop, say the word "yo" 3 times in a sentence)}
well i say black is the new president: Barack Obama

About the NBA: the bogus calls/non calls are a lot less obvious because of the referee scandal and not to draw attention to themselves.
Check the '02 Western Confrence finals. Kobe ELBOWED Mike Biiby and he fell down the refs, commentators, fans, and suprisingly even BLIND peoplle saw it, watch this 27 freethrows in the 4th quarter http://youtube.com/watch?v=H_i3Vnd0n44& ... re=related
and then this
u might not ahttp://youtube.com/watch?v=IUtf6-avo2c ... elatedgree with all of this one but some will shock you. If the NBA wants to call those kinda of fouls, be consistent with it.
even if the fact that they meet 17 TIMES is a conicidence, the NBA wanted to renew that rivalry
things like this too http://youtube.com/watch?v=c42PrM_nJm4
there's no angle you could see this play from and call the foul on Yao Ming
They say "b!tc#" is the new black, well i say black is the new president b!tc#.
