It was for the trades I posted before, Andrew, for my association
Lamrock wrote:Felton is a solid defender, but perhaps the worst offensive starting PG in the league.
Then adding a little defense to the team will only make it better.
Suggest me a couple of good offensive PGs to acquire (not trading Roy, Aldridge, Odom or Oden in the process).I guess I will just go with the Manu deal when the deadline comes.

Kirk Hinrich can be had fairly easily. He is basically a better version of Blake with excellent defense.

What happened to the Blazers today? Losing to Memphis... If anyone watched the game, what happened?

I know that, I just wondered why you were carrying out that discussion in spoilers when nothing really was being spoiled.

Portland has trouble with talented, but erratic teams. First it was the puzzling drubbing at the hands of Monta Ellis and the Warriors, and now this. Blazers put up a spirited effort being down by nearly 30 at one point. Despite most Blazers hating him, I miss Trout. Great backup PF who is the Blazers best wild card. (Webster is prone to some decent games, but overall is looking like a bust. If only they would have taken KP's advice when he was assistant GM and took Paul) It is a little disheartening that the Blazers have already lost 6 games, despite having the easiest schedule to date, but Cunningham and Oden are very promising. Hopefully Roy bounces back though. He hasn't been that good this year.

Thanks for the link, that was a very good read, descriptive and humorous.

Portland can bounce back, whether it's against Utah or not I'm not sure, but I know that they'll hit back with a few unexpected wins.

I was wondering the same myself but thought I wouldn't be one to break the cycle

Tough loss in double OT to the Bucks today..
Sun Dec 13, 2009 5:51 pm
Yeah, they suck. Can't blame them with their best player and entire bench injured though.

No stopping Bogut without Oden

Or David Andersen for that matter.

I like Steve Blake, but he has been truly awful. He is great as a backup point guard, but the fact that he has no athletic or playmaking abilities makes him a horrible starter. He fit well as a spot-up shooter last season, but he is shooting an unacceptable 31% this year. Hinrich is basically Blake but far better at everything. As much as I like Andre Miller, his inability to hit threes makes him a poor fit. (Bayless has improved dramatically this season, and should be getting all of the backup PG minutes)
A Blake + Trout for Kirk trade, along with an Andre Miller for Jeff Foster swap would be the wisest course of action for the team right now. The current depth chart would be:
Przybilla/Foster
LMA/Howard
Webster/Cunningham
Roy
Hinrich/Bayless
A month from now:
Przybilla/Foster
LMA/Howard/Pendergraph
Webster/Cunningham
Roy/Fernandez
Hinrich/Bayless/Mills
Would go from being a 35 win team to a low playoff seed. The extra salary being taken on with Kirk is negated by Foster's expiring contract.

Ok that's given me an idea for my Association. Hinrich here we come..

Bayless had 29 points in as many minutes off the bench tonight in a comeback win against the Suns. Did so on only 15 shots too. Good to see him play more, as he is really coming into his own this year. Best prospect on the team with Oden out.

That's a very good performance by the young fella. Also good to beat the Suns as well!

damn this would be a great deal for the bulls. Hunter can go back to handing out towels and Pargo can go back to whatever he does when he's on the bench. plus Paxson would have enough $ to sign a Brad Miller & Ron Mercer in the offseason
it's too good to be true & i'm not sure Bulls management could let go of their love child
the suns never win on TNT

Nice...shame the minutes aren't there in Portland at this time.
Sat Jan 02, 2010 8:06 pm
They just need to get rid of Blake & Miller then Bayless & Mills can share PG minutes
Sat Jan 02, 2010 8:52 pm
I can agree with that, though Bayless is fading a bit. Rudy and Roy can play the point if worse comes to worst as well. I really wish Batum would come back soon. He has huge upside and is already better than Webster.
