A couple of them are on ESPN, perhaps they'll pick up another game instead. They usually replace a couple of games around this point of the season so it's a possibility.

Ha! I know better than to get goaded into this. I'll just say we'll see what happens on Friday and avoid The Jinx. :P

One thing that does shit me about the foxtel coverage is their tendency to go to an ad break during a 20 second timeout.

Example: today Bulls vs Nuggets: We missed a Luol Deng bucket with about 3 minutes remaining that put the Bulls up. It does suck. And it should be easily remedied by having a diligent director at the controls.

That said, i still prefer it to the ESPN games.

Yeah that is annoying, though ESPN has had its screw ups like that as well. During Game 6 of the Suns/Mavs series in 2005 they inexplicable cut to a repeat of PTI Australia after an ad break, which meant we missed most of the overtime. (N)

Bulls/Pistons won't be shown next week after all. As it stands today, this is how the rest of March looks:

Code: Select all
Date   Time   Channel   Game
Saturday, Mar 24th   10:00 AM   508   Pacers vs Heat
Wednesday, Mar 28th   9:00 AM   502   Cavs vs Pacers
Thursday, Mar 29th   12:00 PM   508   Rockets vs Clippers
Friday, Mar 30th   12:30 PM   502   Warriors vs Suns
Saturday, Mar 31st   12:30 PM   508   Rockets vs Lakers

i don't mind the switch, seeing as though i'll get to see both games anyway. Phx-GSW should be a great game.

ESPN Australia messed up during the final minutes of the second quarter in the Heat/Pacers game, showing about ten minutes of ads before cutting back for the final 1.6 seconds. Not exactly as disappointing as the blunder in the Mavs/Suns playoff game a couple of years ago but a good example of what I was talking about there. I have to admit though, I didn't watch much of the second half anyway.

That's because we already had the game in hand. Danny Granger was pretty impressive tonight, eh Andrew?

Absolutely, he's probably one of the worst kept secrets in the league at the moment. I should think he's definitely part of Larry Bird's longterm plans.

Here's a tentative schedule for April (as well as the last two days of March), still subject to confirmation since all Fox Sports games are To Be Advised in the monthly guide. As usual I've gone through the schedule and matched up scheduled games with the times given in the magazine. Seeing as though I've got the time difference worked out again (Daylight Saving ending here and beginning the US threw me out in March), I reckon these are pretty accurate barring outdated info in the guide and last minute substitutions in the schedule.

Code: Select all
Date   Time   Channel   Game
Friday, Mar 30th   12:30 PM   502   Warriors vs Suns
Saturday, Mar 31st   12:30 PM   508   Rockets vs Lakers
Wednesday, April 4th   9:00 AM   502   Pacers vs Pistons
Thursday, April 5th   9:30 AM   508   Bulls vs Pistons
Friday, April 6th   9:00 AM   502   Heat vs Cavs
Saturday, April 7th   10:00 AM   508   Cavs vs Wizards
Wednesday, April 11th   9:00 AM   502   Phi/Ind, NJ/Was, Mia/Cha or Bos/Atl
Thursday, April 12th   10:00 AM   508   Magic vs Pistons
Friday, April 13th   12:30 PM   502   Clippers vs Lakers
Saturday, April 14th   12:30 PM   508   Lakers vs Suns
Wednesday, April 18th   12:00 PM   502   Clippers vs Suns
Thursday, April 19th   10:00 AM   508   Nuggets vs Spurs
Sunday, April 22nd   12:30 PM   508   TBA vs TBA, Round 1 Game 1
Saturday, April 28th   12:30 PM   508   TBA vs TBA, Round 1 Game 3
Sunday, April 29th   10:00 AM   508   TBA vs TBA, Round 1 Game 4

April 11th has four possibilities at the moment. I expect we'll be getting some Playoff games on Fox Sports but no listings have been made available yet.

Hopefully that's Boston/Atlanta, cos they might be able to squeeze out one Raptors playoff game, then we've had the whole league.

Also, it's been a while since we've seen the Spurs. Weird.

I wouldn't mind that, though I'm guessing the Nets/Wizards game will probably be shown since it's the most significant matchup out of the four. Hopefully ESPN will pull a few late season substitutions and pick up some games as they have the past couple of years.

Just noticed, next Thurday on ESPN is a double header, so after Bulls vs Pistons it's Nuggets vs Kings.

So it is. It's not often they show the entire doubleheader especially when it comes to NBA Wednesday but I'm sure we'll cope. ;)

I'm a little discouraged that there aren't any listing for playoff games on Fox Sports. I really hope we're not stuck with coverage on ESPN throughout the postseason because as we've said once or twice already, Fox Sports' coverage has been far superior this season.

Yeah i hope we get both channels too, atleast if we get ESPN we'll get Spurs and that means Nuggets
I didn't have Foxtel this time last year, do they game you games from each round or just the first or what, do we get finals and everything (was Game 6 of Miami v Dallas on Last year?)

last season they showed a mixture of games from the 1st & 2nd rnd. Then they showed EVERY Eastern Conference Game and every Finals game.

I'd rather see the West play this season so Fox better have games. Can't wait for the playoff schedule to be released.

Yeah id rather see all Western confrence games than Eastern, because the Eastern has 2-3 good teams and the rest are shit, where as the West is filled with good matchups (Y)

Hopefully we'll get a nice blend of East and West if Fox Sports are covering the Playoffs. At least one game from each series would be nice, though I'm guessing we might miss out on one or two unless they have a few doubleheaders.
