I believe the Bulls even without Rose could get through the first two rounds of the playoffs, but the thing I'm worried about is how Rose played when he came back. In his first game back he went 8 for 26, the volume of shots he took is unnecessary. The team has proved they don't need him to win, he needs to fit into the system by only shooting when he has too, which means he should average around 15-20 shots a game.

I'm not worried about that at all, he's taking an average of 18 shots per game on the season which seems fine to me. Some games he'll shoot the ball a little more. On better nights, he'll make more of them, too.

On that note, it was a very rough night for Rose against the Heat, 1/13 from the field and no free throws for just two points. He did have eight assists in 25 minutes though and a team effort got the job done in overtime, a solid victory all things considered.

Awesome win against the Heat! Lets go BULLS!! haha :D

Bulls really have awesome chemistry together which translates into great defense, and flowing offense as always. I love how coach Tom plays with his rotations to make up for the lack of D. Rose's offense in this game. The Heat looked so confident in the 1st half that they exhausted all of Lebron James' energy in the 2nd quarter. Good for the Bulls, terrible for the Heat.

My man D.Rose wasnt shooting well in this game. I'll give him a few more games off the bench and hope that he can make some easy mid range jumpers off from pick and rolls. Lets go BULLS! :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:

Extremely impressive effort by the bulls to beat Miami with derrick rose a -27. If he gets healthy, they might just do it this year. They don't like giving the award in back to back seasons, but thibs for coach of the year?

I think he's definitely got a case, but history's against him and there are others who deserve credit. I wouldn't be surprised if someone like Frank Vogel ends up winning it this year.

The ability to keep getting your team to win games with so much change within it is something thibs has. Rose can fest on these next three teams and get back into playing.

he should win it but yeah, as you said it, winning it last year almost automatically puts him out of the running. but hey if Nash won MVP back to back haha

great win on thursday.

L James hit some ridiculous perimeter shots but barely anything in the paint. even Kerr ripped on him saying he won't go in the post on big possessions.

Gibson's certainly shaping up to be a solid backup, someone who is more than capable of finishing games even though he's not starting them.

Tough third quarter and it probably shouldn't have been such a close call when it's all said and done, but the important thing is they hung tough and got the win. Awesome shot by Rose, the turnovers aside that was a much better game for him and hopefully a sign that he's in decent shape as the Playoffs draw nearer. Huge game for Noah as well, 20 points and 17 rebounds with 13 coming on the offensive glass. Boozer and Korver made some big shots too.

Bad lost by the Bulls to Wizards I am worried that Deng and Rose will not be healthy when its playoff time.

Indeed, not a good result for a game that was still quite winnable. It's not over troubling given Rose and Deng were out, though as you said their injuries are somewhat concerning. I'm guessing Rose is taking it easy while his ankle recovers, sitting out some games that they should in theory be able to win without him, to ensure he's as healthy as possible when the Playoffs begin. Hopefully it's the same deal with Deng too and his bruised ribs aren't anything major.

Tough loss, but it's only one game and they have a bit of breathing room as far as the top seed and homecourt advantage are concerned. So long as they can maintain and they enter the postseason as healthy as possible given all the bumps and bruises through the year, they should be in position to make a good run.

Convincing win over the Bobcats, to say the least.

Things could certainly get ugly against the Heat tomorrow though, if Rose and Deng are both out.

I'm proud of Noah. Even though he is so ridiculously ugly, he still manages to not commit suicide every time he sees his own reflection.

Sad loss. Bulls just couldnt get a bucket at the 3rd and 4th. I still believe in getting the top seed out east.

The final score wasn't as bad as I thought it might be with Rose and Deng out. Not enough firepower to get it done; it's all well and good to hold the Heat to 83 points, but it's all for naught if you can't put 84 points up on the board yourself.

Holding onto the top seed is still possible, though the Mavericks and Pacers will be tough games if they're shorthanded. At least they're at home for two of their last three and finish the season at home against the Cavs.

Anyone else think the Heat was being "too" physical? Don't get me wrong I like physical, tough, hard nose basketball... but a little self control would of been nice.

I don't think the game was very physical but couple fouls were hard as hell. Especially that foul by James Jones was stupid. The foul itself may not have been Flagrant 2 worthy but the timing of it made it deserved. Jones out of nowhere just went at Noah. I really didn't understand the needs for it or causes of him to do that. Was only the first quarter and it wasn't like we were down or something or the Bulls were so hot that we needed to make a point. I am guessing Jones just wanted to make a point for the Heat as Noah was taking advantage of lack of size in the interior. But such a hard foul at stupid timing was totally unnecessary and didn't help the Heat either.

As for Wade, he takes no exceptions when opponent uses elbows. I like how he makes a point whenever somebody does that though. Happened to Kobe before and Hamilton will not go unnoticed either. But it's understandable that some people see it as a jerk move. I disagree as elbows are dirty thing to use under any circumstances. I even came to dislike Hibbert because of him not being careful with his arms despite him being my watch list player since the draft. No matter the intention, players should be careful with elbows.

A little bit of chippiness is fine and to be expected at this time of the year, in a game that has major Playoff implications and between two teams that are developing a rivalry. I don't like to see it go too far though; I watch basketball for the sport itself and not for brawls, plus it inevitably leads to suspensions which leaves teams depleted, affects the quality of games and results in too many what-ifs. So long as the referees keep things under control, it's all good.

Good win over the Mavericks, great to see Rose and Deng back in the lineup. Hopefully that means they are healthy (or as healthy as they're going to get this season) with the Playoffs beginning next week and have sat out the last couple of games as more of a precaution rather than being unfit to play. Good game from Hamilton too, along with a near triple double from Noah. With Miami's loss to Washington, there's a little more breathing room in the race for the top seed.

It was good to Rose try and fit in with the system instead of trying to be what he was to the team last season, although everyone seemed to have butterfingers during the game, the offense seemed pretty good with their flow.

With the offense and defense they were pretty good and because of the defense it looked like the Dallas can't buy a bucket in the 1st quarter.
