Kobe setting a brutal pick, informing the Celtics they can't act like thugs in the house he built.

Refs starting their crap now though to try and keep the Celtics in the game.

They're getting beaten on the boards and there's been some sloppiness but still, the Celtics have actually shown up tonight.

Pretty sloppy right now. I don't think this one's going to rank up there with all the great Lakers/Celtics games, Game 7s and other noteworthy Finals contests. At least it's close.

Can't wait for the Half Time discussion of Kobe's legacy. Although I'm sure it'll be full of a lot of BS Kobe hatred and FUD like is normal by the media. Especially ESPN.

Saw this elsewhere, so much truf, except I'd root for Kobe as there's nobody else who deserves it:
How the fuck can anybody root for a team that includes such scumbags as Wallace, Rondo, Garnett and Allen? Pretty sure even if I was from Boston, I'd become a Knicks or Sixers fan rather than support those POS's.

Pierce is such a traitor. How can he do this against his hometown team, while wearing that jersey? Stern needs to step in and force him to the Proper Team in exchange for Adam "My Mom Dressed Me Tonight" Morrison.

If it takes beating your hometown team to win a championship, then Pierce is gonna do it.

I think you seem to forget that Kobe Bryant is playing. The only way he doesn't win yet another ring is if Pau Gasol continues to shoot the team out of the game.

Even Kobe can't win every title if the rest of his team gives up while the Celtics physically assault them every time down the floor.

He needs to come out in the second half and put the ball up on every possession, tear the Celtics apart like he did the Raptors. Remember 81? The greatest game in NBA history proving he's the greatest guard in NBA history.

Kobe is 3-14. Gasol is 3-12. So statistically Gasol is shooting better than Kobe.

I thought of another possibility of why Kobe won't win another ring. The refs do what Stern and the media want and rig the game just like they did in four of the games in 2008.

If the Celtics continue to play great, not good, defense, Kobe will have to start jacking up shots, which some he makes, but some is better than all.

See the haters are really coming out now they're afraid for another unstoppable third quarter from Kobe.
Phil89 wrote:Kobe is 3-14. Gasol is 3-12. So statistically Gasol is shooting better than Kobe.

Completely different. Kobe is getting fouled on every single shot and he's taking very difficult shots because three or four Celtics are guarding him and fouling him on every play. Gasol is missing wide open shots and taking way too many of them.

Can't fault the Celtics, they know the only way to stop Kobe is to commit criminal acts against him, and that the refs will allow it. So they're doing that.

But you can fault the rest of the Lakers who are not getting the ball to Kobe or doing their job on either end.

And there we go, right off to start the half, a complete B.S. call against Kobe.
