After the first quarter the Magic just started to suck. Plain simple. I haven't seen them play like this, I'm surprised how little the difference was at the end. The 2nd quarter was just awful.

The lakers was on fired in the second quarter and take a 16-0 run and boom. the magic were not able to comeback because every time they shoot the lakers have an answer.

but does that mean his better than the " Great Late " Red Auerbach !?

Some would say yes, but others would point to the way Auerbach built those teams and won his nine championships in 11 years, all with the same team and including a run of eight in a row. That's not to take anything away from Jackson who was rightfully recognised as one of the best coaches in NBA history before now, but there's a couple of different ways you could look at it.

This should've been his 12th NBA Ring if Jordan never stepped out of the game in the 90's .
But 9 Titles in 11 Seasons ! Now that's an incredible achievement .

It could have even been his 14th ring had the Lakers won in 2004 and last year. An impressive thought, but these things aren't judged by could-haves. And after all, if not for Bill Russell's ankle injury in the 1958 Finals, Red Auerbach probably wouldn't just have a matching ten titles, but ten in a row.

I still think Red is much , much better than Phil .

Congrats once again to the Magic for becoming the Eastern Conference Champions, no small feat. They played great and deserved to be in the Finals. I wish Howard the best and hope he can continue to develop his post offense game so that he can become a dominant big man much like Tim Duncan. He's a real treat to watch and also so very humble and mild mannered. Awesome player. Great series by the Magic & I plan on attending one of their games once I'm back in Miami around next year.

Woohoo for the Lakers, after last years loss...this certainly felt like redemption. How many teams could actually make it back? Amazing team work and great plays by all of the Lakers (except for Vujacic, wow.) I hope to God that Lamar Odom comes back to LA and ofcourse Ariza too. Odom because I just fucking love the guy and Ariza because he's a competitor and knows when to step up. Congrats to Kobe on winning one without Shaq and becoming the leader that he has. Not to forget the coach with the most rings in NBA History, Phil Jackson. Without him, I doubt LA would've been as good as LA has been in the years past.

Lastly, as a Laker fan, I'd like to thank the Grizzlies for gifting the Lakers franchise Pau Gasol.

Here's looking forward to next year.

Anyway back to the main topic: Congratulations to the lakers for winning their 15th nba title and for becoming the 2009 NBA Champions,without a doubt they truly deserve that honor .Good job by the magic for reaching the finals for the first time in franchise history. The team was composed of future hall of famers, talented young players and good team chemistry. But unfortunately they were not good enough to win the gold.And lastly,I look forward for the lakers to be successful for the 2nd consecutive time next season.

The Lakers won't be Champions Next Year , that's for sure .
