lol. Even a player like Brandon Davies can have great season with that team.

yall suck for failing to mention supposed to be a forever D-leaguer henry sims having to be a starter on that team

Wow. A few upsets tonight. Rondo-less Celtics beat da crap out of Rose-less Bulls. At one point the Rondo-less Celtics led by 19. Second upset is by the Bucks against undefeated juggernaut Grizzlies. Looks like Greek Freak had ways with them. The Bucks took advantage of Grizzlies' meltdown. Last but not least, Pelicans led by Davis surprised the defending champion Spurs. Classic case of up and comer showing no respect for aging superstar Tim Duncan. To add to the insult, Davis hit the game winner. O-M-G what a night.

Also the Clippers had some amazing highlights today. One of those nights where basketball god is on your side.

And the Heat... VINTAGE WADE SHOWED UP. Not a big deal but worth a mention in caps. UD is back and looked good. Bosh and Deng looking solid. Minor issue is McRoberts still not looking 100% but with time there's good chance he'll come around. Cohesiveness so far has been solid thus 4-2. Fun season continues, I am enjoying it.

You say it's not %100 of Josh McRoberts?

I think Miami looks nice now. Chris Bosh reminisces his late Raptors performance. I also liked Shawne Williams too

Didn't seem to be helping him last year. Davies has made significant progress, especially with his jumpshot and pretty nice passing.

I wasn't a fan of Wroten's last season, but what he's been doing this year so far in MCW's absence is rather impressive. He's tremendous at getting to the rim and drawing fouls, he's showing somewhat competent 3-point shooting (obviously small sample as of now) and doing his best at creating some kind of offense for this team. It doesn't help that - until Carter-Williams comes back - him and Shved are the only capable ball handlers on the roster, which puts even more pressure on them. Wroten still needs to work on cutting down his awful turnover numbers, though part of the reason for why they're so bad is the hand he's been dealt so far this season.

Also, you just gotta love how anything good about any Sixers player just gets deflected with "lmao so wut dey suck". Have fun, guys.

Must be the Adidas

They can ask Steph Curry about how well those popular ankle top shoes work out for them. That and just bad luck

I'm a nerd, but Tony Wroten reminds me of Jae's Association where he created a team out of free agents, and Ra$had McCants had an all-star season simply by virtue of being the first option. I'm rooting for Wroten because I've met him in real life but I see him peaking as a sixth man. His shooting percentages will probably go down a bit, and if they ever decide to start winning, 5 turnovers per game won't cut it.

So yeah, he's been playing well, but it's 6 games for a team with a D-League roster.

Stop being confused, there's absolutely no need to rave about Wroten already. His usage is 3rd in league only behind Kobe and Cousins, and just ahead of Harden and Wall respectively. You gotta be a crazy person to argue you can build a successful franchise with him averaging 33% usage. What we're seeing is a potential only because of his youth.

Part of the reason for his success is similar to Donald Sloan suddenly having a breakout season.

Pacers probably aren't in hurry to bring Hill back soon. Just look at David West. There's a chance Pacers are imploring a bit of a tanking strategy.

That is most likely the kind of role he's supposed to have going forward - instant offense, spark plug guy off the bench. Like I said, it's remarkable how he's able to get to the rim against any defender despite having no (consistent) jumpshot to keep them honest. Once he's there, he usually finishes and/or draws a foul.

While the current state of the Sixers' roster (further worsened by MCW's injury) is a big cause for his nice counting stats, it's also why he's been committing tons of turnovers and having monstrous usage. Therefore, there's little point in complaining about that. It will all come down to Earth once his role does.

Fortunately, Carter-Williams and Noel are expected to be back for the Mavs game.

Wroten hasn't shown enough to be labelled as a must own player. It's MCW, Noel, Joel that matters only.

MCW and Noel have great chance to shape into a nice core down the road. We've seen little but potential's definitely there. Joel Embiid, maybe. Developing them is a top priority and it makes everyone else expendable especially at right price. Loss of Thad Young explains that. Same with the Warriors, they turned out fine. Dumped Ellis, and put every stock into Curry and Klay. Wall and Beal similar case but less successful. Kings, entirely failed on Cousins/Isaiah experiment but Cousins is looking bit better this year, only prob is Gay extremely is a bad sidekick. All his former teams got better without him, look at Grizzlies and Raptors.

76ers job this year and possibly next, is to refine MCW/Noel into Curry/Cousins. Not Wroten into Gay or even Ellis.

Only skimmed some of the previous posts, don't know if anyone has mentioned them yet, but Jimmy Butler and Gordon Hayward have been playing really well.

If Chicago has a healthy Derrick Rose, they'll have my vote for the championship this year.

Edit: Could have probably phrased that better, made it sound like Butler and Hayward were on the same team. Oh well !

Hats off to Dirk, that's no mean feat. Kobe's new record is a dubious honour, but he'll be moving up the all-time scoring chart again soon enough.

It's certainly a reminder of how long some of these guys have been around now, seeing them pass the players who were the established stars when I was a teenager.

Good game for Sloan, converted a tough three-pointer then made both free throws late in the game.

Re: Random NBA Discussion 2014-15 Season

It's not Mario Chalmers. It's the lack of inside presence all night long and mental lapse that allowed a huge come back near the end of 2nd half. The Heat were supposed to start the 2nd half with comfy lead but entirely lost momentum and got raped again and again on board in 3rd. :shake:

Bosh was totally outmatched by Hibbert. He literally couldn't get anything going bothered by size and strength. You live by Bosh, you die by Bosh. Hibbert grabbed 15 boards, Bosh 3. Nuf said. And Bosh got blocked awfully on his signature 15 foot jumpshot by Hibbert. There you go, his finesse game just has trouble against Hibbert as seen in the past over and over again on both ends. That's why I want some size alongside bosh to offset his weakness little bit but Riley still hasn't came up with any for ages, instead we got overload in wings this year.

Painful loss as the Heat's weakness was entirely exposed.
