Dwight Howard showed in the playoffs that he is still best centre in the league.

I liked James Harden more before he grew out his beard.

Unpopular because Hakeem's style was more aesthetically pleasing & appeared a lot more skillful but your opinion is nonetheless correct IMO.

Against Meyers Leonard & Joel Freeland?

I liked James Harden more before he grew out his beard.

I personaly didn't exactly like him because I don't like the Thunder, but I didn't hate him like I do now.

Q, against the whole Blazers' team. Blazers played superbly that series & Harden etc took a dump. Dwight looked great on both ends of court, especially defensively. I hadn't seen that from Dwight since Orlando pre-injury

Blazers could've been swept if LMA didn't explode in Games 1 and 2.

I think Kobe is the single most disgusting and complexed athlete in the history and that he shouldn't be mentioned in the All-time greats conversation. He is not the 2nd best shooting guard ever.

The NBA rigs champions, if not all the time then from time to time.

The NBA rigs lotterys, if not all the time then from time to time.

Stern is still in charge.

Prime Shaq> best since 60's.

Isiah >>> Stockton

From an individual standpoint: Chamberlain best player ever.

Dirk>Mailman

EDIT: I love LeBrons game but hate his personality. He is desperate for attention. His "they don like me/us" line is the most irritating one in sports after Ohio against the world. He is a once in a lifetime athlete.

I don't get all the fuss about the release of the NBA schedule. Hey guys, it's only a regular season schedule :?

I understand the hype if you're living in America. You can get an idea when you should book tickets to home games and when the big rivalries take place. Otherwise, I find it fairly irrelevant too.

I don't get it either, but it's nice to know when the big marquee matchups are. Glad to see Kobe & Lin don't have to wait to get their revenge on the Rockets

Makes sense to me that fans are interested in finding out when some of the marquee matchups are going to take place.

I really don't care about the schedule now. Last year's "top matchups" between Knicks and Nets were simply not relevant. Derrick Rose and the Bulls never played against Kobe and the Lakers.
Dwight Howard returning to LA was meaningless. So yeah, I really don't care in advance.

By the way, Paul George changing his jersey number for the sake of a "good" nickname just shows you what kind of idiot he is. I don't like him and think he is absolutely overrated.

I think PG-13 nickname wasn't well thought through. I think connotations can go in different ways so perhaps he shouldn't have done it for reasons of nickname.

Nicknames that are just the initials of the players names themselves are stupid.

We went from the big O, Wilt the Stilt, Clyde the Glide, Magic, Larry Legend, Air Jordan, The Answer, Air Canada to..

CB4, KD (although gotta love the slim reaper), CP3, TP, KG, D-Wade, D-Rose to PG-13 & Swaggy P. :facepalm2:

I think that Charlotte Hornets will earn its first playoff victory since 2002 (note: new Hornets reclaimed history of Original Hornets and Bobcats).

Creative nicknames are definitely nicer.

But I think D-Wade moved away from his nick name Flash because of diminished athleticism.

I don't think initial-based nicknames are necessarily bad in and of themselves, and they do go back further than the current era: DJ for Dennis Johnson, MJ being a common one for Michael Jordan, of course. They aren't the height of creativity though, and are getting a bit too common in the last decade or so.

Not MJ, it's Air Jordan

I like this thread by the way since a lot of my opinions are unpopular :P

Of course, but he is referred to as MJ quite a bit. too And again, Dennis Johnson was DJ, Larry Johnson was LJ (in addition to Grandmama), and Kevin Johnson was KJ.

I guess initial nicknames just seem to work, as long as there's a J in there.

I want 5 second back to the basket rule gone just like in good old times. Also use of forearm against back to the basket players, I'd like to see it return to the league.

It would discourage bump to chest floppers and allows post players do their things more freely. Too much guard game now days and the league became soft.

I find NBA players to be the most boring people to follow on Twitter. Although, I've gotten unintentional Lolz from Charlie Villanueva.

Am I the only one here who thinks James Harden is overrated? I respect his numbers and everything but the way he plays at times in the court makes me wonder if he should be a 6th man still. And Jeremy Lin just doesn't cut it as a point guard in the NBA. I'm sorry to any big fans of him but he also makes extremely dumb turnovers and decisions in games just like Harden does. And their defense is horrendous.

And till this day I believe Allen Iverson was never a good team player in the first place. He was a great individual player but he just never grasped the concept of team work or sacrifice in his career. Now I don't know if it was because of crappy teams he was with. Even with all that I respect his contribution to basketball in terms of making it fun/entertaining and I highly respect his work ethic and toughness.

And Karl Malone and John Stockton and co. deserve more credit for their run in the late 80's/90's and as individual players and as a system.

James Harden is the best shooting guard in the game today. Not many backcourt player shoots over .600 TS% and has PER over 23. He's crazy good on offense, that's for sure.
