Consider this a done deal.

I tell you this is going to be crazy. But not just crazy, I am talking crazy GOOD. Lowry becomes the second best player for the Heat instantly, replacing both Bosh and Wade. This makes Napier a luxury, Cole and Chalmers obviously expendable. My only complaint is still the lack of size. That Mitch McGary... should have been the Heat. I know I'm saying this too many times but I really like the kid. Hope he does well and gets his shot in Oklahoma.

lol, might want to read your source again.
UPDATE: The Toronto Raptors are not working on a sign-and-trade with the Miami Heat involving point guard Kyle Lowry, a high-ranking Raptors source said Friday night, shortly after the publication of the story below, which proposed a deal was "Imminent."

Masai Ujiri is not a moron to be raped by the Heat.
The Heat have no assets that benefit the Raptors for a sign and trade deal.
I think either Lowry takes a paycut to be able to sign with the Heat or he takes the money that the Raptors or other teams with cap space will offer to him, it's more of the latter with Lowry at this point in his career.

I think I'll trust what Ric Bucher hears from people over some high-ranking source or logic.

Chris Broussard: Source: Chris Bosh opts out of his contract . Seeking 5-year deal worth roughly $15-16 million per year

5-year deal? Hell naw.

LeBron James doesn't want to take a discount to return to the Miami Heat, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports. James will be seeking a maximum contract, or something close to it, after opting out of his deal with Miami earlier this week. The biggest contract James could sign is five years, $130 million.

Ouch! Superteam's no more. Bosh will walk. LBJ will re-sign for max. Wade will re-sign for less but for longer term. Sure the team will still contend in East but significantly weakened due to salary limitation.

Otherwise the option is to let LBJ go.

Re: LEBRON WILL OPT OUT!

Sun Jun 29, 2014 2:44 pm

LeBron is trolling

I believe he'll eventually sign under max. I just can't imagine Bosh joining the Rockets.

I just hope they manage to sign a proper PG. I don't believe the necessity of a Center is dire. With that they will be as good as 2012 and if not...Oden will come around.

If I were LeBron, who is by many considered to be the best basketball player right now, I'd do a shit and take less money than a moron like 'Melo...

Re: LEBRON WILL OPT OUT!

Sun Jun 29, 2014 10:24 pm

I've also read that LBJ wants the max-max contract. It kinda sucks but at least he deserves every cent of it unlike so many overpaid worthless goons in the top paid players list.

Again, Wade made one fanboi smile, myself. I know he simply sucks as a player now but he's leaving a lot of money on the table by opting out(42 milliion for 2 seasons?). He'll recover some of the loss with longer term contract but I'd say he took one for the team once again. Out of the trio, he accepted the least so Haslem could have been kept in 2010.

Re: LEBRON WILL OPT OUT!

I don't know...I mean, those new developments arguably make it seem less of a certainty, but like I said, they're fresh off a fourth straight Finals appearance. Even if they were beaten badly in the four games they lost - more so the last three, Game 1 was very likely going down to the wire before LeBron left the game - they still came closer than 28 other teams did to winning it all, pretty close to the threepeat when it's all said and done. Do they walk away from that so easily? I'm not sure that they do.

I think any team that has LeBron and some other capable players is at least going to be in the title hunt, even if they aren't necessarily the favourties. I don't think we can rule out Pat Riley working some magic with the roster, either. I do get the concerns and criticisms of their roster as it currently stands, and they're completely valid. However, I think they're more than capable of re-loading and remaining a contender - again, not necessarily the favourite, but a contender nevertheless - and I'm not sure that their Big Three readily walks away from that.

Imagine the big 3 stay together and they only manage to sign Lowry. So, basically Napier and Lowry are the only two new additions. Which team will be your favorite then in the next season?

LeBron still has at least 2 years til he gives up the crown, so after his team(whichever it may be) Durant and OKC are the most likely favorites. But given the chemistry we saw between Westbrook and Durant against that last game with the Spurs, it seems that they still need time to improve their chemistry.

Then there are the players most likely playing their last seasons, Kobe Bryant & his Lakers(only Kobe in that team since the SEXY 30 million salary) and Tim Duncan & his Spurs(Finals MVP, Tony Parker and old bench guy Ginobili).

And the Bulls if Carmelo decided to fuck the Knicks. Rose probably a 2nd tier PG if he ever plays and Noah the best defensive player with scoring machine, no doubt they will be fighting for the top spot in the East.

Finally, there are the fallen ones who showed promise but couldn't deliver-- Pacers, Rockets, Clippers.

So, which team is your favorite next season?

Mine is BOSTON CELTICS with Kevin Love & Rondo dominating the league! Take that old man Sauru.

Too early to say, given that we have the whole offseason ahead of us and some big names potentially changing jerseys.

if the celtics got love he would lead the league in scoring next to rondo and get bounced in round 1

2014-15 Miami Heat: Shabazz Napier / Dwyane Wade / Luol Deng / LeBron James / Chris Kaman (sixth man: Udonis Haslem) Champions! (of the conference)

Even that might be optimistic with such a lineup...but I don't think it'll come to that.

Gortat just agreed to sign a 5 year, $90 million extension with the Wizards.

LeBron James has left Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh in the dark about his future with Heat

I like the way how this thing is playing out. Everything is uncertainty at this point. Honestly I'd rather have LBJ going to Western Conference for basketball reasons. I was getting bored of this big three. Rockets, or Bulls would provide great funs for all hoop fans.

Come now, you know that only I have the power to make the opposite of what I say come true. ;)

Seriously though...like Melo to the Bulls, I'm not convinced that any of the Heat's Big Three are leaving until their names are on contracts elsewhere.

Re: LEBRON WILL OPT OUT!

Fri Jul 04, 2014 2:41 pm

Same here. But don't you agree that LBJ would be more competitive on teams like Bulls or Rockets? Pair him up with Noah who is the best defensive big and versatile one at that, and Rose a capable PG who's potentially much better than Wade at this point in their career. Then there're the Rockets, Dwight is a real man compared to BoSHE on both ends, then Harden the best SG in today's league.

I would find this mix intriguing. The Rockets and Bulls should make a full pitch imvho.
