3 game series now with one at LA, tough chances but still hoping for LAC to pull it off.

How do you really plan something like that out?

Ibaka-"Yeah, I'm gonna hit Blake in the nuts, again."
Perkins-"I'll push you into him, just get under the basket."

He had a move a year or two ago where he would do something similar, but then pivot away from the basket with a pumpfake leading to an up and under. I'm surprised he hasn't used it.

Yeah, I also noticed that. Good catch.

But I kinda like the change in his game. It worked beautifully in the previous game and put Ibaka in the foul trouble early. But yes, it also backfired as the game wore on and got more physical. The Thunder matched his intensity level physically.

He's shorter than KD and a lot of today's big men and has Raptors arms for a PF. He neither has Karl Malone frame, but I like how he's been able to bang his way to the interior. I think him playing physical is only right and a welcoming adjustment to his game. He gets to take less airballs and actually improved his overall game. Remember how Zach Randolph killed him in past post seasons? He's become slightly stronger since then imo.

I don't think he should not be physical. It just seems like that is all he is doing.

Especially after the non call/make up call review reversal in round 1, I didn't think it was possible to get a make up call even after replay

I think the refs just wanted to get back to the fans with that call :D

I don't mind who wins this series - for me, it's just a shame that one of these teams is going home this soon - so I'm kind of enjoying the controversy and drama. Crazy finish.

OKC down 13 with 4 minutes left.

OKC down 7 with 49 seconds left.
Durant hits a 3.
Crawford misses a lay-up.
Durant gets a quick layup. Down 2 with 17 seconds left.
Chris Paul inexplicably turns the ball over trying dong something funny, leads to Reggie Jackson driving to the rim, Matt Barnes *pokes* it out of bounds.
Westbrook gets fouled shooting a 3, knock all of them down. (6 seconds left)
CP turns the ball over again. Ballgame.

I think NBA is scripted :o

Re: 2014 Playoffs: (2) Oklahoma City vs. (3) L.A. Clippers

It probably should have been a foul, but the current instant replay rules don't allow referees to change the call like that. As it stands, it's basically your standard "it went off him, but there was a foul, so we'll say it came off the other team instead" call, though that approach doesn't look fair when there's an instant replay ruling involved...especially when they didn't follow that approach in previous calls during these same Playoffs.

I think the NBA needs to expand the instant replay rules to allow for those calls to be made. That way, if a review of an out-of-bounds call shows that there was actually a foul, then the foul can be called because that's what should've been called in the first place. I don't want the game to be slowed down by excessive use of instant replay, but at the times when it can be used, I'd rather it be used to get the right call according to what actually happened, as opposed to being limited to a couple of choices that don't take into consideration what the referees might have missed.

At the end of the day though, I think Blake Griffin's remarks after the game are an accurate assessment. Controversial calls aside, the Clippers had a chance to win the game, yet they made some bad turnovers and missed a bunch of shots in the final minutes of the game. You could argue that they got screwed on some calls, but they also left the door open with their performance at the end there.

Fair comments from Doc, but there'll no doubt be a fine for that.

Players like Crawford should get fined for flopping so hard in order to get 4-point plays. It's ridiculous.

The way the league is trying to get OKC to advance each series is starting to get idiotic. I'm developing a sense of hate towards Durant because of the unfair treatment.
