kuester didnt really impress me in detroit. kind of a head scratcher as far as an assistant hiring, next to Darvin Ham. what does Ham do? teach em how to dunk?

koberulz wrote:Who cares if he got trapped? There's no five-second violation, so he can just hold onto the ball until he gets fouled.

that's my main point. it's kobe's fault that he just didnt hold onto the ball and run time off, forcing the bulls to foul him

Kuester was seen as a genius during his time in Cleveland with Mike Brown. Kuester coached the Pistons then people realized it was LeBron all along.

Darvin Ham already had coaching experience in the D-League. Wiki...
In October 2008, Ham was named an assistant coach for the Thunderbirds. He later served as their head coach. In October 2011, he became an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Miami is just completely ridiculous. They're playing so well I'm actually finding myself starting to like them.

Same here...... IT'S EVIL!!!!

No idea how Boston are in this. Their zone is just ridiculously full of holes, and yet Miami can't seem to get into them.

The Celtics remain ridiculously resilient. Have to hand it to Rondo, he's stepping up with his scoring.

Heat having flashbacks again of the (last season) Mavs zone.

I haven't seen any of the games from that series, but I have a feeling the Mavs zone was significantly better than Boston's. There were free spaces all over the floor, and yet no Miami players bothered to cut into them.

You didn't see last year's finals?! Shame on you. On another hand, I'm pissed on how people now say the Mavs suck once again. If so then the Heat suck as well, cause they lost last year, the Lakers suck because their 0-2, and the Celtics suck because they're 0-2. It just pisses me off how everyone has seemed to write the Mavs off once again, after just 2 games.

Re: And the NBA is officially back.

The Mavs eliminated the Lakers, and I hated the Heat. Since I didn't want either team to win, I couldn't bring myself to actually watch it.

Hard for the Mavs to be clicking right now when they have many new players, especially with the type of zone defense they play. I guess 2 weeks isn't enough to know the proper rotations in their defensive system.

I know it's only 2 games but this reminded me of the Heat team where they won the championship only to suck in the following season.

That Heat team didn't have the pleasure of a lockout shortened season after their championship run.

No dynasty in Dallas. They have been working for years and finally made it again. I don't think they will do it again.

i think the loss of chandler was too much to overcome and now they are desperately trying to keep from slipping off the mountain top. they've done a lot of wheeling and dealing, much like the Magic did after reaching the Finals in 09

Oddly enough, that same season the Mavericks started out with four straight losses before finishing 67-15 and then getting upset in the first round by the Warriors.

Westbrook called for so many charges already this season. He needs to be smarter and not just go full speed at defenders. :facepalm2:

It was way too close. Wade was awful untill that last shot too. Whew...

Was also surprised to see the ball in Wade's hand in that last possession despite him having an off-night. Guessing Erik finally had some guts to tell bron that he ain't got no 4th shit.

Thunder go 3-0 despite Westbrook's 0-13 effort. He should realise when he is playing bad and pass the ball more. :facepalm2:

He left the game for a while. Also, the Cats had the lead for the first 3 1/2 quarters. The Cats' D just evaporated in that third quarter, and there were way too many turnovers.

Boris Diaw had 16p/16r/8a, two assists shy of a triple-double, and he nearly had one against the Bucks as well. I wonder if this is going to be a regular thing. Byron Mullens' game interests me (yes the same Mullens). He had a sweet turn around jumper over Bosh. Right now, all he does is come in for a few minutes, knock down three or four 18-foot jumpers, grab a couple rebounds and defend a little then head back to the bench. I'd like to see him expand his role a bit. Our only true center (Diop) didn't even play. Biyombo had a nice block today too, but his game is really a work in progress. Can't wait to see him in a couple years.

That is actually normal. Especially for a Clippers Spurs game.

07 is old were champs now. But, yeah, that was the worst year of a Mavs fan's life.
