Just looking at the match ups, the Mavericks got the edge, probably with advantage on 3 starters plus the depth on bench. But luckily for the Heat, the playoffs never has been about the match ups. The Celtics had all the advantages in the world in match ups, outside of Bron and Wade. Same goes with the Bulls. However it has been the story of "Wade & Bron(sometimes Bosh) have to be on top of their game" for the Heat to win in most games. Fortunetely for the Heat though, vice versa, the opponent teams needed most players on their roster to play well to win against the Heat.

What's worrisome for me is the past 7 years record against the Mavericks. Swept by the Mavericks each year. Hoping it won't mean much as seen in the Bulls and Celtics series.

Doing comparisons like that for "lineups" is one of the worst forms of comparative analysis possible.

And that is relevant to this series...how?

I guess not so much in exception of last 2. Lolz. But then the record still bothers me somewhat. :?

And here's something positive to read for the Heat fans(or Mavs fans if you don't mind getting upset)...

http://weblogs.sun-sentinel.com/sports/ ... _pi_1.html
1. The Dirk Nowitzki riddle isn't the big one of the series.
2. The Heat's weaknesses aren't the Dallas strengths.
3. Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller are the cavalry.
4. The Heat's two-way game is better than Dallas' two-way game.
5. It's all about me and I haven't been wrong.

Celtics won the season-series 3-1, Bulls swept the Heat 3-0, 0-2 against the Mavs has no relevance now. And that position-by-position comparison sucks.

Stop being superstitious about something from the past that has no relevance and no relation to modern events.

That "seven years record" takes you back to 2004.

What happened in the Finals in 2006?

Mavs in 5. I don't want to have problems on how to watch Games 6 and 7 because school starts here on June 13.

Random 4th-tier posters keep calling me out for no apparent reason. I can understand Air Gordon but this seems awfully random.

At least Lamrock's arguments carry valiant points based on stats most times, on broad range of topics, teams and players. I'd say 80% of his posts if not more. Latest one being Melo being an overrated shitty player(I just looked at his WS/48 :shake:). But I owned him in Chandler vs Haywood prediction.

Playoffs time. Last year, it was Sauru taking shots.

"It's almost a little funny to me to see how people are all of sudden saying I'm a changed guy," Nowitzki said. "I've been averaging 25 and 10 for 10 years in the playoffs, so it's not like this just came overnight."

2-3-2 schedule doesn't really favor the Heat imo. The Heat will need to take care of home games before heading out to Dallas for next three. The Heat haven't lost at home for a long time, so I am hoping it'll stay the same tonight and for the next game as well.

How is he not a changed guy when his jump shots are falling like Kobe Bryant's and isn't choking but clutching like Kobe Bryant? He's apparently been Kobetized lately.
