Well that kinda supports my theory, lets stop looking at hardware and look at what these men are actually doing on the court.
shadowgrin wrote: Just curious, ignoring rings who would you pick as a better player imefimef, McGrady or Kobe?
Of course i pick imefimef, he was winning before Charlie Sheen and was the first to drink tiger blood. He is better than LeBron MJ and Luke Walton put together(although Luke is still 2nd best overall/all time tho). Kobe infact is on the bottom of said list which goes a little something like this:
1. imefimef
2. Luke Walton
3. Micheal Jordan
4. LeBron James
5. Tracy McGrady
...725. Kwame Brown
...1025. Kobe Bryant.

Well after tonight's game, it's more like
Fri Mar 11, 2011 7:40 pm
Kobe Still Doin' WorkKobe Doin' Work After Work.
Kobe Bryant is back on the court more than an hour after the final buzzer working on his shot
Crazy thing happening: Kobe's back on the court now, shooting 3-pointers. Miami ball boys fetching rebounds. Kobe's not happy w/ his game.
Kobe has them feeding him ball off curls, in post and back to the deep corner. They keep looking at each other, as if to say: He won't leave

Another
pic.

So the hell what? This is another one of those things that irks me not because i'm a LeBron fan but because i hate being messed with. This is nothing but propaganda at it's best, a show put on, because when people see this 2 things come to mind
1. Oh Kobe is so dedicated.
2. LeBron is not.
First that's not anything special, if you had a bad game shooting game what should you do? put up more shots duh, but just because he chooses to do it when the press is still around doesn't make him more dedicated. When Celtics play and Paul Pierce or Ray has a bad shooting night, i bet they go the extra mile to put up extra shots at the gym or during work out, and just because we don't get to see it doesn't mean it's less important. Dedication is not something you can measure and until you show me all the footage of LeBron when he isn't playing basketball and we compare that to the footage of Kobe when he isn't playing then we can decide who is more dedicated. You don't know how hard any NBA player works, you simply do not know so it makes no sense to bring that to an argument when you are severely under-informed. Also if you win a game, especially a big one like this after all the hoopla around Mia losing 5 games(and although i agree the way they lost is kinda alarming but so what, everybody losses sometime and it was to good teams after all) , they earned the right to celebrate that victory.
I mean I wouldn't say SHADOWGRIN is less dedicated to this forum than IMEFIMEF(even tho it's probably true) just because there is a picture of me passed out on the computer at 4 am in a cold room with no lights.

Who said posting that was my argument? I just felt like posting it in this thread, just 'cause.
Don't tell me this is also a serious argument of yours...

And as far as being clutch please i beg thee please go to these awesome websites that contains factual evidence not flattering words like "Killer instinct":
Since 03-09 LeBron hit more game winners than Kobe.
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/445288-kobe-bryant-the-man-the-myth-the-legend/page/4FACT!http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/truehoop/miamiheat/columns/story?columnist=haberstroh_tom&page=KobeLeBronclutch-101222FACT!These words "killer instinct" "dedicated" "work ethic" are just like McDonals saying try our new "juicy" burger or our "mouth-watering" fries, or our "heavenly-baked" cookies lol it just makes it sound so good but in fact isn't all that.
Please take a looksie at 82games.com and look at each players game side by side, if you have a functioning brain, it is more than obvious LeBron James by far plays better basketball than Kobe. Period. And that's what my argument is, who is the better basketball player aka who is playing better basketball on the court.

People see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear. How can you take anything in that post serious when i put Luke Walton over everybody and Kobe underneath Kwame?
Look i kno Kobe is greatness(more of an understatement) and as soon as he retires(if he follows this same trend) he more than likely nah scratch that will be the second best basketball player ever. NO questions asked. But when LeBron retires(if he keeps following his current trend) he will displace Kobe to number 3 guaranteed and take over his 2 spot. As far as who will be number one then MJ or LeBron?? IDK and can't answer that yet because i don't see anybody surpassing MJ but you never know if LeBron messes around and averages a triple-double in a season

So you took my Kobe post seriously, which I say is not.
Kobe 2nd best basketball player? U mad! I can think of two former Lakers that are better than Kobe, even if he wins his sixth ring.
Sat Mar 12, 2011 5:26 am
I had no reason to not take it serious, and you're telling me after it's all said and done Kobe isn't going to be top 3 players to ever play? Hmm well that's a different argument and i'm not informed enough to argue that so yeah.
Sat Mar 12, 2011 5:37 am
It's 2009-10. Kobe has a Derek Fisher as his teammate, and not only Fisher, just there are Gasol, Odom, Artest, Brown etc. Look at LeBron. He was alone in Cleveland, just all LeBron. Mo Williams had a small effect instead of others, only that.

Oh now teammates have something to do with it? lol jk
Ok let's see, so Kobe has all those players while LeBron jad just Mo but LeBron still assisted more than Kobe. He made the right PLAYS not just the last shot.

Plus i don't even care for the statement LeBron is more clutch than Kobe, these things have more to do with opportunity than not and i just don't care for it, but i put it here to show LeBron isn't "un-clutch". It's a common misconception that LeBron is as clutch as Earl Boykins is tall, but the FACT is LeBron is also clutch.
Same with jumpshots and 3 pointers, people seem to think LeBron can't shoot a 3 to save his life and expect him to miss a 3 as often as you'd expect Ray Allen to hit one, while they think Kobe is almost in the same breath as Ray with 3s, but inFACT LeBron has shot better for 3s, this season and the season before, the one right before that LeBron shot 34% attempting 4.6 while Kobe shot 35% while attempting 4.1. The point is not that LeBron is a better shooter(I think Kobe has a better jumpshot, period.) but that LeBron is a good shooter. Not great, not bad, but good. As is Kobe. Kobe has never shot higher than 36% in his career and that was once or twice if i'm not mistaken. LeBron has been shooting 33-34% for a while now which isn't great, or bad, just good.

LeBron at top 2 of all time? Kobe at 3? What about Bill Russell? Big O? Wilt? Bird? Magic? Kareem? Are you really serious?
We can't tell yet whose the best we have to wait, let them retired then compare. Now, What if LeBron got injured and it is ACL or something serious? I am sure that LeBron will slowly fade. Look at players who are having a great career but got hampered by injuries ? Grant Hill? Arvydas Sabonis? Bill Walton? Yao Ming? Penny Hardaway? Tracy McGrady? Ralph Sampson? .

Then why did you put it there in the first place, plus explain how LeBron still got over twice the assist even if Kobe has more than twice the help? That means LeBron is exponentially better (Haha. Play on words. I amuse myself. Especially when I'm drunk.)
Did you watch the Lal Mia game on thursday? It was a 2 possesion game and Kobe just ran up the court (with more than enough time left) and shot a DEEEEEEP 3 pointer. He missed and nobody said anything because it's Kobe, i bet if Mia was down by even 10 points in the 1st Q and LeBron shoots from there, the ESPN analysts woulda burned down his car.
Go to the 3 min mark
Sun Mar 13, 2011 8:36 am
Another thing, if Kobe is so dedicated to his craft and is doing work after work, why hasn't he ever had a 38% for 3s? So obviously James Jones is more dedicated when it comes to 3s, and so is Kyle Korver, and Jason Kapono, and Peja Stojahovic(idk how to spell his name, deal with it). Why hasn't he shot 90% for freethrows? Obviously Billups, Nash, Mo Williams, Kevin Durant are more dedicated too, and why hasn't he shot 50% for fg in a season? Obviously LeBron is more dedicated than he is.
Sun Mar 13, 2011 12:59 pm
Because Kobe can nail that so they can't question that.
as i read in some book it goes like this:
Michael Jordan: Winning
Kobe Bryant: Greatness
LeBron James: Amaze

You can't question pulling up from way too deep for 3 when you're down by 4 in the closing moments? Then you are obviously a GENIUS.
And WTF does the last part mean? what does that have to do with anything?
EDIT: You should burn that book because it would be more useful to you as a heat source then for you to read it.

WTF @ Kobe Bryant Greatness... Rofl. That word used to belong to Shaq back in the days when Kobe and Shaq were together. These days? Mmmmm... I still wouldn't say that, but it's true that he played his part in recent championship runs.
