My Finalists would be a tough battle between Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony! If ever Jason Richardson will join then he will also be there to give us a great dunk showdown!

I'm sorry to say this but this thread made me really really sad.

Why is everyone hyping Carmelo as a dunking machine? I mean sure he can throw it down fairly well but he's hardly in the same league as some the other guys mentioned (JRich, Lebron, etc). He's a solid dunker but hardly an athletic "freak" like the other guys. I doubt he'd even be in the dunk contest and there is no way he'll win it.
Hopefully they scrap the stupid "rising stars" bullshit next year and up the prize money to something more worthwhile (25 grand is chump change to an nba player) so we see the likes of Ricky D, Kobe, T Mac etc all going head to head in an 8 man, three round format.
My dream DC lineup for next year:
T-mac
Vince
Kobe
Ricky D
Richardson
Mason
LeBron
Speedy Claxton/Wagner - i just threw in Speedy or Wagner because it's always good to have a little man in the contest and both of these guys can jump through the roof and have won dc's in the past.

None of them are as good as the players i listed imo. Davis, Finley and Franchise (Stackhouse is not in the same league) are pretty decent but they can't hold a candle to the guys i selected.

going bak to that last years dunk that Mason did B/w the legs, i dont thing judges saw what he did, he actualy went b/w both his legs, not like most players do when they go b/w their right leg only and they do as they are getting off, he jumped of 2 feet, the in the mid air went right through the middle!!! no way anyone els could do that!!

yeah as a big big melo fan, hes not an athletic freak like bron and j-rich like someone already said. hes solid and substance, not style. he even said that at the magic a-star game i believe. hahahaha "those guys are too old"... you are ridiculous, jason kidd... miles is entering his 4th year, hed be a senior in college this upcoming school year. i think franchise is that year or one year before... and if it was last year miles could not, but if its this year, then yes, his legs have caught up to his upper body muscle now.
