What if the Hawks kept Josh Childress and didn't extend the contract of Joe Johnson?
Sun Nov 14, 2010 5:35 pm
Then they would have had a slower start, but probably end up as good, if not better, and also be able to either re-sign Crawford or sign someone decent in the off-season and actually be able to improve their team.

What if Allen Iverson got drafted by a team not the Sixers?
Sun Nov 14, 2010 7:36 pm
He still won't be attending practice.

Camby becomes GOAT

I don't think you're supposed to actually be answering the questions, just posting more and more of them until the answer to all questions reveals itself from on high as the divine hand reaches down to lift us up into the clouds.
Would Camby have gone first? I seem to remember him going second to be a bit of a surprise and questioned by the "experts" back then.

Wasn't Isiah the GM of the Raps then? I guess that explains Camby's position.
I was more of a Shareef Abdur-Rahim supporter back then.

Actually you could be right Benji, it probably would've been Marbury going number 1 IIRC. It was Iverson vs Marbury. As Raptors already had their PG of the future in Mighty Mouse, they were always going to go either Camby or Reef.

Doesn't mean much since lottery pick coverage is always "THE NEXT GREAT STAR" unless it's out of nowhere. I think the booing provides better evidence:
Lulz, both Camby and Stoudamire were traded within two years, and almost every single person Hubie listed was gone within three.
Remember when people actually thought this was the best draft ever?
Some idiots still do.

What happen to Kerry Kittles? Remember him as the second guy on that Finals Nets team
Sun Nov 14, 2010 9:30 pm
Is that a "what if" or a "random NBA question"? He retired due to injuries and got a MBA.
And there were two Nets teams that went to the Finals.
And I'm not sure he was ever the "second guy" on them.
As an aside, almost nobody that I can remember thought Kobe was a better pick than Kittles.
Sun Nov 14, 2010 10:52 pm
What if Stephen Curry drafted by to New York?
What if Kobe Bryant stayed at Charlotte?
What if Carmelo Anthony traded to Nets?

It's right about that's not the best draft, but Camby was the DPOY 3 years ago.

Then Golden State would suck.
kapei22 wrote:What if Kobe Bryant stayed at Charlotte?
Kobe didn't want to be in Charlotte and Charlotte desperately wanted a big man. If they had known what he would become, I don't think the Hornets would have traded Kobe.
kapei22 wrote:What if Carmelo Anthony traded to Nets?
Then the Bobcats would have Devin Harris.
Mon Nov 15, 2010 1:33 am
Charlotte should've gotten Harris
What if Charlotte Bobcats were renamed?
That would pwn
Mon Nov 15, 2010 2:44 am
What if the Bobcats didn't suck at drafting players. (Brandon Roy, Rajon Rondo could have been picked!)
Mon Nov 15, 2010 11:49 am
What if Jonathan Bender's knees didn't betray him?
Mon Nov 15, 2010 10:18 pm
z02 wrote:What if the Bobcats didn't suck at drafting players. (Brandon Roy, Rajon Rondo could have been picked!)
They wouldn't had a team like 2010 Bobcats.
Harris would be at Bobcats...

What if the Lakers hadn't sold out on Cedric Ceballos & traded him away?
Tue Nov 16, 2010 10:10 am
They might have missed out on some Horry heroics.

Then Kings would eliminate Lakers and Chris Webber would have a ring.

What if the cavaliers would have drafted Dwayne Wade instead of Lebron with their first pick.

They already had Ricky Davis and Dajuan Wagner. Would it be useful? At least LeBron won ROY.

They would've been lynched & the franchise would've had to move to Buffalo
Sun Nov 21, 2010 9:38 am
It was always between LeBron and Darko anyway. So if they had skipped on LeBron for whatever reason it would've been to pick Darko, which would have been hilarious/horrific in equal parts.
Sun Nov 21, 2010 10:01 am
Then the Pistons would've picked him and he'd have sat on the bench for the start of his career since he wouldn't be unseating Prince and Rip with Larry Brown at the helm.
Or maybe they pass him up for Bosh or Melo. Or Kaman.
