Nice dunk by Terry, if he does that every game I think I will have a man crush on him.

From the Yahoo! NBA recap:
Mavericks star forward Dirk Nowitzki sat out, saying he was concerned the outdoor conditions could hurt his jump shooting just before the regular season begins.

Not convinced that was the reason.

Whether that's the whole truth or not, it really boils down to the pre-season not meaning anything in the grand scheme of things and as such it's not uncommon for key players to sit out or play limited minutes.

That or Dirk doesn't want the outdoor conditions to damage his long locks.

For those who care, Kirk Penney was actually trying out with the Spurs. He scored 9 points in 16 minutes but was subsequently waived.

Hoping some other teams might be interested in his services.

Cleveland defeated the rockets and mavericks and lost to the wizards, i don't know who elese the cavs beat but they're 3-1. I'm surprised to see them beat the mavericks and rockets, hopefully they'll continue this in the regular season. I guess Mo williams is now the new leader when he returns along with Antwon Jamison?

Who cares? It's the pre-season. Cleveland still blows.

(Wolves) went 6-2 a couple years back. Don't be surprised to see the Wolves win more pre-season games than regular season ones.

The Cavs and the Wolves are the only teams trying in preseason.

sounds like the perfect recipe for a top five pick in the draft to me.

I just wish the Cavs would develop Hickson, put him at PF and slide Jamison to the 3.

finally got to see Blake Griffin in action today. I'm excited for the CLippers season but unfortunately i was subjected to many horrible shots by Brian Cook. what a waste of height. *sigh* looks like another year of Cook in LA. hopefully he will be buried on the bench behind Jordan and Smith or gets cut by december.

I think you maybe right about the cavs getting the top pick with that lineup.
Zan-Actually they have been developing Hickson,. i hear on tv that they've been working on Hickson's midrange shot.

Jordan Crawford impressed a lot, 30 points on 13-20 shooting.

I'm sure LeBron James will come up with a way to pretend that never happened.

Enjoying winning while they can...although in all fairness the Cavs probably have a shot at being mediocre, perhaps even sneaking into the Playoffs as the eighth seed. The Timberwolves, not so much.

Jazz, Magic , Grizzlies remain undefeated in preseason

Guess who my Bobcats beat yesterday?
Gerald Wallace rested as LeBron and Bosh and Miami were beaten by the Bobcats!!!

I wonder if this would work for the hawks to try in preseason. Put Jamal Crawford as the backup small forward and Joe Crawford behind Joe Johnson, so, they can see what he can really do with more consistent playing time. Also i saw Chris Kaman in a preseason game last night, it was between the kings and the clippers.
It was an interesting game, Kaman was going up for blocks and as far as i know, Kaman got 3 blocks in that game, he was doing more scoring and was one of the leaders on offense. His teamate Baron Davis was playing well as well, going up for inside shots, that's the first time in his career that i've ever seen Baron Davis play live.

I still don't understand why Jamal Crawford isn't starting at point guard. He IS a combo guard - not a swingman. I'm not saying he can't play SF, he's just a better point guard. And it's not like Mike Bibby is a better point guard then Crawford.

Crawford doubled Mike Bibby's point production last season and only had one less assist a game FROM OFF THE BENCH.
