I honestly can't tell if any of the posts in this thread are serious or if they're all just sarcastic. We have a Kobe love fest, a LeBron hate fest, and now a Bobcats' championship guarantee, for real, what the hell?
Tue Jun 22, 2010 3:28 pm
Yeah, that guy is delusional, kinda like the people who think Jordan was ever better than Kobe.
Tue Jun 22, 2010 5:41 pm
Lmao, OP said the threepeat thing so he can say this.

Lebron and Rose's turn in Chicago then?!
Wed Jun 23, 2010 6:45 am
i heard sign and trade for lebron with the celtics. of course they still will lose to kobe who could probably bring the clippers bench to the nba championship

Then it's Evan Turner's turn

The owner of Bobcats are more interesting than the team itself, at least for now. Whatever he does, it'll be a headline while whatever players do don't matter too much.

well, Phil Jackson is up to the challenge for one last title run. pressure is on and he believes he has one more in him. i believe him too.
3x3x3x3
i'll either be really smug next April and say i told you so, or i will go crawl in a corner and hide. depending on the outcome of course.

I don't think many people disagree that the Lakers have a good chance of threepeating. We were just suggesting it has more to do with their roster than any kind of pattern.
Sat Jul 10, 2010 5:40 pm
i think now that MIAMI is the team to beat on paper, its do or die for this Lakers team. the pattern seems to be the only advantage now, unless somehow the Heat's trio dont mesh well and ego's get the bast of them.
Sat Jul 10, 2010 5:43 pm
The Lakers' only advantage is an arbitrary pattern? Not coaching, depth and experience?
Sat Jul 10, 2010 6:25 pm
it twas meant as a joke sir. this whole thread, pretty much just me screwing with everyone lol. i like to put shit out there to get people thinking. sometimes its fun to throw a crazy idea out there and see people run with it or shoot it down. there has been a pattern and it only seems fitting for it to repeat itself but there is no predetermined fate as to who will win the title any year. right now, Kobe is doing a facepalm knowing the odds just got a little harder for a threepeat. but, that's what makes the great ones great right?

To idiots maybe.

Don't disagree with the John Nash of the NLSC (if you replace the 'genius' in the "crazy genius" part with 'idiot').
Sat Jul 10, 2010 7:14 pm
fitting as in all of Phil Jackson's titles have come by way of threepeat.
Jackson is coming back for one more season to try to do it again. its not fate, its not a random occurrence. its a matter of 3 times before his having a 3 year window with the best product on the floor and being poised to do it again. just an odd redundancy really. a pattern that doesnt "mean" anything but a pattern no less... my joke a few posts back is that the pattern means something because Miami could "in theory" crush the Lakers now, but hey... at least they have Jackson and his threepeat streak.
had Jordan not retired the first time, the Bulls LIKELY would have won 8 straight, so its more a matter of who all is on the floor. of course.

Logical fallacy.
Correlation does not mean causation.
People have died employing this fallacy.
DIED.

If the Lakers do meet the Heat in the Finals, I'd be quite interested in what sort of mind tricks Phil Jackson would resort to regarding Lebron James. Specifically Lebron.

Phil Jackson mind tricks. seriously?! i can understand the media riding that horse. but everyone else??

something along the lines of "its amazing how he takes about 5 steps without a dribble and not be called for a travel"

Miami's reply: "Right back at you."
Mon Jul 12, 2010 11:07 am
Yeah, anything he throws at other superstars, Kobe basically does it too.
Mon Jul 12, 2010 3:20 pm
It's just Kobe doing work.
Mon Jul 12, 2010 7:32 pm
stop this mess! miami heat will win championship next season! guaranteed!

You have been posting for a long time in this forum and you still don't know how to use the edit function?
Now that the Heat is the team, I cringe every time Diddy posts in NBA Talk.
