Thanks for clarifying.

Yes, it's clearly obvious that Jennings hasn't been setting up Bogut. I don't think anybody would think that. It's the fact that Bogut is getting touches in position to be able to score is the important thing. Previously it just bounced around between Redd, Mo Williams & Charlie Bell with Bogut playing a Jake Voskuhl screening role on offense.

I see, but interesting idea you brought up.
You seem to overvalue Rubio a bit too much based on his potential as an NBA player. As I see it, teams rarely build around PG's and if teams do, it's usually when that PG has a breakout season or have shown what he's capable of in the league.
Minnesota would be foolish to depend too much on Rubio for their team's future success at the expense of what they have now in Al Jefferson or Kevin Love.
It would be a waste of the team's time and resources to build a team around Rubio just to see if he is really good instead of Rubio proving himself that he's really good even without the 'right players'.

Perhaps I am overrating him a little bit.

I do think he is better than Jennings and really wished that he was not stuck overseas so that he would be showing us what he's got.
And no, I am not expecting the Wolves to overhaul their whole roster in anticipation for him to be there. Building a team around Rubio would only seem logical if he, as you stated, proved himself to be a player you could build around. And it was my opinion that that could happen.

He just scored 29 points in the 3rd quarter against the Warriors. It's against GS but still that's pretty damn impressive. Currently has 42 for the game.

Someone must have taught him how to shoot when he was in Europe because he wasn't this accurate of a long range shooter in High School. I like him though, I have since I saw him in the McDonald's All-American game when he had that sick high-top fade haha.

53 points, new rookie scoring record.
Sun Nov 15, 2009 2:54 pm
Make it 55 for the new record.
Sun Nov 15, 2009 3:07 pm
Holy shit... my eyes must be playing tricks on me yet again. Jennings dropped 55 points? Damn... this guy's for real.
I kept staring at the boxscore in disbelief.
Sun Nov 15, 2009 3:17 pm
Dang. this is impressive. even after i heard he was playing well, i checked his stats to my amazement over 20PPG and 5 assists. and now he does this to me.
Sun Nov 15, 2009 3:21 pm
Damn.
This dude will beat Flynn.
Sun Nov 15, 2009 4:25 pm
55 is a HUGE score to put up, let alone for a rookie, what an amazing game he had.

For the Bucks. The NBA record is Wilt with 58.
Sun Nov 15, 2009 4:43 pm
Damn, this upped his averages to 25-4-5. In addition to being the sure-fire frontrunner for rookie of the year, he could be in all-star talks if he keeps up this level of production and the Bucks keep winning. Who'da thunk it?

Jenning's coming out party
Sun Nov 15, 2009 5:45 pm
Very impressive, but it was against the Warriors.

It sure seems it is in a reach.
More importantly, the Bucks are a winning team at this very moment. Huge thanks to Jennings and Bogut duo. Jennings was awesome but so was Bogut for +18 while he's on the floor, the best on the team.

Lamrock wrote:And how do you figure that the Bucks are better than the Wolves, who have three fringe all-stars?
have you seen the standings as of late t'wolves are looking horrible
t'wolves 1-10
bucks 5-2
bucks d is top 3 in the league and they are the number 1 rebounding team in the league
pretty soon everyone will be on the brandon jennings and bucks band wagon
Sun Nov 15, 2009 6:32 pm
jennings was also 7-8 from beyond the arc and 21 for 32 i think overall i remember everyone saying he couldn't shoot. the kid is proving everyone wrong and the teams who picked 2-9 are prolly digging the shoe's out there arse from kicking it so hard.
my bad 21 for 34

Quite right, I forgot to clarify that. Still, when you beat a mark set by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and come three shy of Wilt Chamberlain, you've had a good day.

Yes, we all know that Monta is an awesome defensive beast. Even Gary Payton can't hold a candle to him.

That's right! Jennings is the real deal, Rubio is nothing!

I have got to say, and concede, this kid is for real. Going to Europe was definitely the right choice

He's playing like a seasoned pro. Very impressed.
