Shame . . .

( I'll be quite surprised if calling someone a M'er F'er and SOB is valid . )
You got a warning because you and Maaarf kept going at each other. We'll let a little go as not to be ogres, but when it starts to take over a thread it's gone too far and that's when we'll take a firmer stance.
That said, let's all keep the personal remarks to a minimum and things on topic as much as possible. Thanks.

Violet Palmer will become coordinator of women's basketball officials for the West Coast Conference and continue to officiate in the NBA, where she has worked for 12 seasons.
Earlier, The Associated Press incorrectly reported that Palmer would no longer officiate NBA games.

Misspelling his name is an unforgivable offense for me. You're on my hate list.

MikeMan™ wrote:All of these came from bleacherreport.com , I'm just posting it here and 'coz I want to see what are your feedbacks and reactions . . .
The topic is retarded. Really.
It's bad enough that you just copy and paste from other nutcases instead of making your own assumptions.
If we are to speculate every rumor or conspiracy theory in the NBA or any sport for that matter, it'll go no where like a science vs. religion debate.
The nutcases who say that the moon landing was a hoax offers even more arguments of their opinion than those who bring out conspiracy theories in sports.

The problem was the back up reasons were too weak to be considered anywhere near legit. Therefore wasn't even worth a discussion. I'm just surprised this thread got to page 2.

But the Lakers still advanced thereby ensuring that half of Stern's plans come to fruition! Don't be blind everyone!!!111!!
Sun May 31, 2009 1:45 pm
I don't know about that. I think LeBron is David Stern's favorite baby right now and not Kobe.
Sun May 31, 2009 1:46 pm
It's just a smokescreen. You're blinded! Blind!!!!
Sun May 31, 2009 2:05 pm
Love is blind. I love the Lakers.

Cant you see? david stern is bringing about the apocalypse as mentioned in the other thread by Sir Rubin!! 6 games in the lakers series, 6 games in magic series, 6 games in the next. It is the final sign much like terrence and phillip being executed. Satan will come up with his boyfriend saddamn hussein and try to take over the world...until defeated by cartman swearing...
/sarcasm over

In 2003, the Spurs won each series in six games.

I think it's pretty clear the Cavaliers defeat was orchestrated by Stern to get LeBron to bolt to New York.
Mon Jun 01, 2009 10:13 pm
Poor David Stern.

Why did you have to reveal that? Your life is in danger as we know it.

If everything was rigged then LeBron would not be in Cleveland. The Knicks or some other big-market team would have gotten the top pick that year. Also, the Washington Wizards would have made the playoffs those two years that MJ played for them. True, the officiating in these playoffs has been atrocious, but really it's just an example of corporate incompetence, not an Emperor Palpatine Eeeevil Plan.
The reason for all the stupid techs and things is because the NBA overreacted to the Pacers-Pistons brawl and no doubt put the onus on the referees to make sure that Such A Thing Never Happens Again. That's why you're seeing techs called on simple displays of emotion and other harmless things. It's because the refs are terrified of being held responsible if another brawl breaks out. It's not to dissimilar to the stupid things that every corporation everywhere does. They're all run by men in suits sitting around conference tables making bad decisions. The NBA just gets more scrutiny.

Well put. And welcome to the Forum.

Brave Sir Rubin says it best, it is the entertaining and marketing aspects that drives the league today. But really, the officiating in this year's playoffs is just so inconsistent. I haven't seen such obvious mistakes in a long time.
