Because he is my second fav player (even though i said he doesn't deserve the mvp award last year on the other thread i still like him) and the lebron sig was already taken by shadowgrin and why does a Kobe sig and avatar have any connection to the lakers being hated? I like Kobe but hate the rest of the lakers especially Pau well does that answer your question

it's quite weird..to actually hate the lakers but like kobe and sport a signature and avatar of just your second favorite player.

Vice versa here, C-77. I am not really fond of Kobe and his ego, but I like LAL over so many teams. Just that I like Houston little bit more than LAL. For some reason I started to dislike Kobe centered LAL since Big Diesel left the city.
Anyways, I hope to see the Rockets come out with intensity and energy once again. Go ROCKETS!
PS: Why care about ShadowGrin's sig and avatar. Just get him Joel Anthony sig and avatar and he will let you have Lebron James in seconds. Really, no brainer here.
Thu May 07, 2009 12:12 pm
then where do i get a Joel Anthony sig and Avatar seems like i can't find one

right now, the Lakers are playing well. Kobe's shooting well and Shannon Brown's electrifying the crowd.
EDIT
Artest's HOT.
Rockets are leading at the half. Carl Landry is hotter than Artest.

Wow. Houston's good. What do you guys reckon they should trade T-Mac for?
Thu May 07, 2009 1:51 pm
The Lakers bench is really struggling. The game is tied at half.
The way the Lakers play reminds me of the 2004 NBA Finals.
Thu May 07, 2009 2:22 pm
I think the Lakers are going to pull this one out, but I think this is about to be a 7 game series.
BANDWAGON!
Thu May 07, 2009 2:44 pm
Wow, this one is getting physical. I can see some suspensions coming if this keeps up.
Thu May 07, 2009 2:47 pm
Fisher is ejected. The Lakers are bullying Scola. Haha. This is getting exciting. Go Lakers!
Adelman sent Wafer to showers early. What's with that?
I like the Kobe/Lebron Vitamin Water ad.
Series tied. Kobe scored 40..

good idea, but how high is Tracy's value right now and what kind of player can be acquired in exchange for T-MAC? Personally, I'd rather keep him than trade him at least until the Rockets can see his form after he recovers. Maybe he recovers well so it's a good idea to keep him, maybe he doesn't recover well and it's a good idea to trade him. Who knows? One thing for sure though, his value right now is not worth the player he's capable of, so I'd rather keep him and see how he progresses with his recovery.
I'd love to know what's going on between Wafer and Adelman so if anyone of you has updated info please do share.
Landry was hot, so was Artest. Extremely physical game with two players ejected and a couple more with technical fouls. I told y'all this will be a very competitive and physical series.
Thu May 07, 2009 9:06 pm
Im just glad that there is going to be some drama in this series
Thu May 07, 2009 10:22 pm
^^Yeah me too. Kobe put on a show (again). It will be interesting to see game 3 on Friday in Houston.
Thu May 07, 2009 11:38 pm
That's for sure. Can't wait to see Artest's reaction after that lil' incident in last game, especially when Houston will be at home.I doubt that Kobe will be able to make these crazy shots against Artest 2 games in a row. I mean that shot against double team and off the backboard.. That was crazy..

As long as Pau Gasol scores 20+, they're fine.
Thu May 07, 2009 11:47 pm
Probably. One think they should be worried about though, is that Yao might not be that ''invisible'' back in Houston. If he scores 20 or 25+ instead of 12, Rockets will be lot tougher to beat.
Fri May 08, 2009 12:47 am
It's all about Pau Gasol. Yao's performance depends on Pau's showing.
Fri May 08, 2009 1:40 am
Exactly the reason why I love watching Rockets. No matter whom they play what game they play, their will to win and compete can be felt. Sure it going to be a great series no matter how many more games are going to be played.

just like the other 29 teams

I wouldn't say that Yao's performance depends on how well Gasol plays, but I get your idea.
I just don't believe that Pao is that good at the defensive end. He's good defender, but not great. Sometimes it's just Rockets offensive scheme that doesn't get Yao the ball in low post enough.

Tracy McGrady (knee surgery) recently had his brace removed and can walk without pain, but he doesn't expect to start running for a few more months. He also addressed having temporarily "lost the passion" for basketball.
"In dealing with the nagging injuries I've dealt with...it's so frustrating and I kind of lost the passion," said McGrady. "But I got it back. I'm busting my butt every day to rehab and get myself back to the player I was. I'm changing things up in my training and dieting. I'm motivated." On top of these comments, T-Mac made the questionable decision of picking the Lakers as the eventual champions, despite the fact that the Rockets are still in the playoffs.

http://www.rotoworld.com/content/player ... NBA&id=473Great. He doesnt' sound like he has much faith in his own team, or he's just being realistic or an ass, I dunno.
Lamrock wrote:Wow. Houston's good. What do you guys reckon they should trade T-Mac for?
How about trading him for 2nd round pick just for fun sake to see T-mac's reaction. Marcus Camby said he was insulted when that happened.

C-77 wrote:then where do i get a Joel Anthony sig and Avatar seems like i can't find one

Unfortunetely, that remains to be the harder task than ever.
Fri May 08, 2009 4:11 am
Am I wrong or has T-Mac still never made it out of the first round of the playoffs? This playoff doesn't count since he isn't playing. I think whether T-Mac will be traded depends on how far Houston goes in these playoffs. If they go far enough, they may put him on the block.
The Lakers defended Yao pretty well by not letting him get the ball in the post.
It looked like Kobe was intending to dunk it when he threw the ball off the backboard.
Here is the interview with Ron ARtest after the game.
