I would like to see him stay. Rose and Gordon would be a good backcourt.
If he does go I hope that Thabo will get more minutes and become a better player.

He probably will.
He wants money that no NBA team wants to give him.

seems like you forgot about Hinrich ( I spelled it wrong =(), derick Rose hehe. With addition of Gordon the back court is over populated. That's the main reason he is not getting a good bargin at the table alone with the successful signing of starting SF Deng. Sorry for my bad english.

If they were to sign Gordon they would probably trade Hinrich or Hughes, or even both to get a better Power Forward/Center.

I see Gordon leaving though and Hinrich getting lots of minutes at the 2.

No one's forgetting about them, but they're both point guards and I don't fancy the idea of trying to make one of them into a shooting guard any more than the idea of Eddie Robinson making a triumphant return.

I can't see any team willing to give up anything of value (not even an expiring contract!) for Hinrich. The dude's stock is as low as Kenyon Martin or Ben Wallace lately. If I were playing NBA Live, I would trade him for Raef LaFrentz, but the Blazers would never accept that trade in reality.

Supposedly the Heat were interested in Hinrich but nothing's become of that.

If only. Realistically, I'm not sure whom the Heat would be willing to offer at this juncture.

i am sure they would love to get rid of marion and get a pg like hinrich or maybe even larry huges.
hoping it would be something like

Marion+Beasley+Chalmers for Hinrich, Huges, Nocioni

salary wont be correct (they can always give Keith Van Horn a call  )
but its a nice trade for the bulls if they could pull it off

There's no way they're trading Beasley, for Hinrich or anyone else. I'm not sure they're all that keen to move Marion at this juncture but the chances are better than them trading away Beasley to say the least.

Wait. So the Heat will trade an expiring superstar, a hopeful future superstar and their "point guard of the future" (perhaps until recent events) for an overpaid average PG, Larry Hughes and the poor man's Marion? Especially since the Heat are sending $23 million ($18 million of which expires after the season) for $30 million (Hinrich and Noiconi both have contracts extending four or more years into the future). (Ignoring of course that the trade doesn't work.)

And I see Noah13 wants the Heat to also toss in Haslem. (Which would make the trade work.)

Having Hinrich at shooting guard isn't a completely terrible idea in theory but it does little to address the issue of having a small backcourt and I don't see Hinrich as a potent enough scoring threat to fill that role. I don't think it would be a complete disaster but I doubt it will be a resounding success either.

agreed, however personally i would say Ben Gordon at SG > Kirk Hinrich at SG, even if heat wont trade beasley i think the bulls should offer hinrich or huges for mario, which would be a good deal for both teams

it would cause chicago would get the front court help they need, heat would get rid of marion, who is playing same pos as Beasley, and they get their starting pg

Marion is a superstar with an $18 million expiring contract. Hinrich is an average at best point guard with four years remaining, and Larry Hughes is Larry Hughes.

The Heat don't need a more expensive Chris Quinn. They've already got him at the minimum.
