He isn't the dumbest - almost. I don't think he have like... um... common sense or something? Or maybe he grew up so spoiled that... um wait... did I even say "grew up"? Did he even do that? I guess not.

I remember the "Hi I am new to this thread" in the Hardwood Classics.

Anyway, team USA, well, they got playmakers, but I don't really see much teamwork coming from them.

I'm shocked Brand, Chandler, Shane Battier, and Jermaine O'neal didn't make the team.

Both coming off injuries, not safe to include them for the "big game", especially Jermaine. This isn't the qualifiers anymore.

Jason Kidd is slower than ever and still can't shoot. But he's incredibly unselfish

Trouble driving, can't shoot, as if he has other options than to pass.

Anyway, I'm guessing the rotation will look like this:

C - Dwight Howard
PF - Chris Bosh/Carlos Boozer
SF - LeBron James/Carmelo Anthony/Tayshaun Prince
SG - Kobe Bryant/Dwyane Wade/Michael Redd
PG - Chris Paul/Jason Kidd/Deron Williams

The SF starting spot is the only one I'm not too sure about..
As for the C spot, I wonder if Bosh will play the 5 when Dwight's on the bench.

I would rather have a Howard and Bosh that's both 100% healthy than a Howard with Jermaine that's 90% healthy at this time.

It's still Bosh. He's already a better player than Jermaine, and is still getting better. If Jermaine is at 100% (Big IF), then he is better defensively than Bosh. Bosh wins it offensively.

dirk, manu, yao, parker... these guys dont consider themselves americans. they live here because their teams are here. if they thought of themselves as americans, what team would they be playing for again?

It has nothing to do with them considering themselves Americans or not. You can't represent a country you're not a citizen of and once you've represented one country in Olympic competition, you can't compete for another.

I would sure as hell trade Jermaine for Chris Bosh in a split second.

I doubt coach K is dumb enough to pick a player, especially formerly one of his own, that's coming off an injury that relegated that player for one whole season off the court.

Being a former dook player is not a guarantee or justification of being selected, if that was the case then Battier should have been included for the Olympic lineup.

You don't have a formal contract with any team, whether it's your own country's team or not, everybody's free to support whoever the fuck they want. This is as narrow-minded as it gets.

yeah, could have been a better roster, but this roster already is a crazy team anyways. I mean if this team was formed in the nba league today, i think they'd be the formidable champs right away. boston's big 3? this team is big 12. if this team fails to win a gold, it'll make me quit watching nba and watch supurior euro league or something.

i think kidd's experience in international games can be an asset to the team with full of younger players.

finally Russian team will be fiting for a medal at olimpics! after we have won world championship in 2007 and beat spain, which beat team USA in 2004 olimpics, now we have some confidence! but still, i'll be hoping Russia can win silver, cuz 99% we could't handle with Howard+Bron+Wade+Paul combo! i still could't imagine HOW COULD USA loss to SPAIN???
