I agree to a certain extent. While there is no definate back up at the 3 spot there is a few options. Redd, Villanueva, Bell, Noel, Ilyasova, Markota can all play the 3 if needed. I believe that Stotts will sub out simmons and shift CV to the 3 and bring in either Smith or Gadz.

Ilyasova is a key name to mention. This kid has played awesome all summer for Turkey, winning the U20 Euro tournament MVP and picked to be a starter for the national team at the World Cup in Japan. He could very well become the main backup. He is young (19 I believe), a solid rebounder for his size, has incredible shooting touch and is a solid defender. Most of all he has a lot of potential.

stotts will have his hands full coaching this team this year

CV playing the 3 is not a pretty site. Being a Raptors fan, I should know.

Joe Smith to Denver

The Bucks get Patterson..

Your thoughts?

Fri Aug 11, 2006 8:29 am

Well this makes things more obvious. Evans wont be resigned(HELL YEAAAAAA!!) and Nuggets will try to sign Bonzi Wells for MLE.

Fri Aug 11, 2006 9:01 am

Adds another decent defender to the Bucks squad. As long as he can stay out of trouble then it should work out very well.

Fri Aug 11, 2006 10:41 am

I think this is a pretty even deal, even though i really liked Joe Smith as a Buck. The Bucks needed another SF/SG, and had enough PF to trade one away. I just hope Patterson plays the best to his ability, and doesnt disrupt the team.

That's a Good Trade for Milwaukee IMO, Patterson wanted to leave anyway

Fri Aug 11, 2006 2:15 pm

Milwaukee got the better deal, in my opinion. Ruben is a proven defender and the Bucks are lacking in depth at the 3, while also getting rid of a player that is just going to take up Charlie V/Bogut/Gadzuric's minutes.

Fri Aug 11, 2006 11:30 pm

But with Ruben there's also the history of anger issues with the team.

Why would you want to spend more money on a player who you already have 3 of?

Sun Aug 13, 2006 6:16 pm

signing bonzi wells could possibly make the denver nuggets the new jailblazers... joe smith with his under the table dealing, melo with his addiction, martin and bonzi providing craziness

Who? JR Smith - thats it. If you're thinking about Diawara then that guy will get to play 2 mins at the end of the game if its a blow out. Dermarr won't be resigned and Hodge will be on IL.

Mon Aug 14, 2006 12:24 pm

you can never have too much versatility... as bonzi showed in the playoffs, when he gets into his groove, he is indispensible to a team

The Milwaukee Bucks have updated their site with pictures and video of what their new court will look like...

Nice, I like it.

ps. do you want me to make you an avatar with no. 6 and the bucks logo in it or something? This one looks kinda bland.

Wed Aug 16, 2006 3:03 am

Court looks nice. Someone get on a patch

Wed Aug 16, 2006 6:16 pm

I have a feeling the Bucks will go under the radar this year and come up with a better record than last year. They have some very nice pieces in there. I wouldn't be surprised if they got up to the 6th seed. The only thing that could let them down is that they are pretty young. Overall I have been quite impressed by their offseason even though they gave Magloire away for peanuts.

Wed Aug 16, 2006 7:59 pm

the bucks shook up their roster too much i think, sure they had some redundant pieces to throw around but in short they traded away a leader, a former all-star center and a talented point guard for a talented but erratic forward, a energy hustle but problem-laden forward and for a backup pg... that's too much talent given away without receiving one draft pick

Sorry to dig this thread up, but has anyone seen actual pics of the new jerseys?

I just saw this pic before:

can you just save it to you pc and then upload it to http://www.imageshack.us and then post it? I tried looking for it but no success. And the bucks said they would show off the uniforms in september, but so far nothing.

PS
Bucks Sign Harris and McCray
