Looking what he had done in the athletic waters (winning running and high-jumping competitons) and then at the results, he would still be more athletic than any man of his height today. And of course - he had his psychical peak in the 60', when the nutrition and training methods were not as developed as they're these days, so he could reach even more of his amazing athletic potential :).

n his freshman track season, he set the Big Seven freshman indoor record in the High Jump, placed fourth at the Kansas Relays in the Triple Jump, and captured third in the Big Seven at the Shot Put. He went on to tie the Big Eight indoor record in the High Jump with a leap of 6-6 3/4 during his junior year at KU in 1957-58.

Wilt is not a one-sport man, either. At Overbrook High School in Philly, he high jumped 6 feet, 6 inches, ran the 440 in 49.0 seconds and the 880 in 1:58.3, put the shot 53 feet, 4 inches, broad jumped 22 feet. Bill Easton, Jayhawks track boss, predicts Wilt will reach 7 feet in the high jump if he concentrates on it.

Apologies for taking this thread off topic, that's been taken care of now, that discussion can continue in the general talk if Dweaver wishes to respond.

Regarding this topic.

For the first question I'd probably have to go with Shaquille O'Neal. I might have chosen Wilt if I'd seen him play, but given I haven't, I'll go with what I'm sure of at the moment, Shaq. Kareem was a great player but I've always liked the stronger players, so Shaq seems the logical choice for the first one.

The second, I'll go with everyone else & pick Michael Jordan for the reasons already mentioned.

1. Shaq for his size.
2. MJ for...er... need to say more...?
