James denied a report in Sunday's New York Daily News that he asked for $1 million to compete in the slam dunk contest.
"I haven't asked for that," he said. "I have enough millions right now. If I feel comfortable about doing it, I'll do it."
James said the deciding factor will be his ankle.
"The same thing happened last year," he said. "I hurt my ankle before All-Star weekend. It was a no-brainer that I wasn't going to do it. It's all up to how I'm feeling."

how was lebron unable to participate in the dunk contest last year (because of his ankle) but then pull off sick dunks in the rookie game instead (eg. through the legs). This doesn't make sense to me. I think its just an excuse cause he doesnt want to enter it.
