Did you even cared about that in his final game?

Wouldn't it have been more impressive, inspiring and of a capstone if Kobe had set the assist record rather than selfishly gunning?

Vintage Kobe. Who wouldn't want to see that in his final game? It's his last game as an NBA player and people are still hating/criticizing him for what he did. If it was my last game, no one's going to touch that ball but me. You put up with him for 20 years, why not just 1 more game?
Rest In Peace Kobe

Yes it was a great send off yes it was nice to see him end on a high but that sure looked like a bad allstar game at times lol

Congrats Kobe it's been a ride!

Look at his TS% for the last 3 mins of the game. It was the time he never missed. Vintage clutch Kobe.

no one wanted to see kobe pass the ball a single time

as a side note i feel like many people commenting on his last game did not actually watch it and are commenting on his stat line alone

its rare to see a player like kobe. its not just about how good he was and all his records or rings, its about him playing 20 years for 1 team. its just not done anymore. once duncan and wade retire who is left? as good as those 2 were/are they were not on kobe level. sure you can aregue duncan best pf ever but so low profile its just not the same thing.

then again i have made it clear how i feel about players sticking with 1 team. pierce would of seen the same love from boston but he went ring chasing instead and now i never hear shit about him

It's fair to point out the 50 field goal attempts because it is kinda crazy, but it was his last game, it's what the crowd wanted to see, and a little spectacle wasn't out of order.

That said, had he beaten the assist record with the teammates he had to pass to, that would've been quite a feat.

Too easy for him and that milestone is for weak mentality players that are afraid to hit clutch shots like LeBron.

ICYMI: Adam Morrison built a bunker to survive the apocalypse

Just shows you how special Kobe is for Adam Morrison to shave his moustache and leave his apocalypse bunker just to be in Kobe's farewell game.

The real reason Morrison was on the bench...
MWP said Morrison talked trash in practice every day and backed it up but didn’t have a chance to play in games given the roster.

He was too good.
AmMo schooling Artest, Kobe, and the rest of the Lakers in practice, they probably hated him during that time and asked Phil Jackson to bench him.

So...Michael Jordan's mistake wasn't actually in drafting Morrison, but letting him go?

Considering Jordan used to join the players in practice then, he must have been humiliated by AmMo countless times that the competitive Jordan to salvage his pride had no option but to let AmMo go.

Playing good in practice doesn't mean anything if you can't do it in games, Morrison looked lost when playing for the Lakers in the rare times he got off the bench, it's a bit like dominating in summer league.

It's because he never expected to play and got baked before every game.
