Looking forward to the Suns games, aswell as the Bobcats, Bulls, Sonics, Hornets and the Bobcats one this sunday.. Hopefully we will get some more Warriors games too.
Ive had enough of the Heat too, theyre just boring to me..

I noticed that Fox Sports is getting the FSN (Fox Sports Network games)....which means they'll mostly be Western Conference games, as I watched a couple of FSN games from different Western regions when I was over there last year....

not necessarily since FSN covers pretty much the whole country. They do show some NBATV games though (LAL vs LAC)

I still watch them but you're right; those teams have dominated the schedule for the last two or three seasons and more than likely we'll be seeing them compete come the Playoffs so it'd be nice to see some other teams in action during the regular season.

In all fairness of course those teams have their fans and we've all got as much right as each other to see our favourite teams in action, though fans of those teams are pretty much guaranteed a large helping while the rest of us get to watch our teams play sparingly here and there...if at all. And as we've said before, if we can't watch our own favourite team more variety is the next best thing.

Fox Sports has been better about that so far compared to ESPN though. We're even getting a Bobcats game this Sunday. :)

normally I'd be really happy to see Boobcats, unfortunately I move into my new house tomorrow & my Foxtel will be off from Saturday to Wednesday. I figured I'd only miss the Saturday game, which I can handle missing, but not a Boobcats game :x and they probably won't show them again all season :(

I would offer to tape it, but im 90% sure im leaving for schoolies that day..

Is fox sports three 'crapping' up for any of you? Was hoping to catch the Pistons/Heat match

Fri Dec 01, 2006 1:10 pm

Wouldn't know as I'm at work, but that sucks if it is.

thanks, i thought i'd seen that here before and i obviously had, but i couldn't find it :P.
sorry bout that

No worries. (Y) Shame ESPN Australia isn't showing a single NBA Wednesday game through December. I hope Fox Sports will continue their NBA coverage beyond this season, they're continuing to outperform ESPN Australia in volume and variety.

4 Miami games (N) No Blazers games (N)

Sun Dec 03, 2006 9:42 pm

I found a magazine with every single Fox Sports and ESPN game up to the playoffs, would've bought it, but it was $18!. There are a few more Nuggets games which is good, Fox Sports is looking so much better at the moment, especially now ESPN is once a week and that is normally Spurs

Sun Dec 03, 2006 10:00 pm

Which magazine was that?

The ESPN International website currently has listings through March, unfortunately the Fox Sports website only has listings for a week in advance at any given time. The Foxtel magazine of course has the monthly listings. I've found that looking at the TV schedules on NBA.com sometimes offers some clues but when it comes to international coverage it's sometimes hard to tell what they'll show.

Sat Dec 30, 2006 3:04 pm

as you all are aware, most games in the guide are TBA vs TBA

the on-screen guide has these for nxt week

Clippers v Magic
Kings v Lakers
Phx v Miami

Sun Dec 31, 2006 3:39 pm

Blazers/Knicks will also be shown on ESPN on Thursday. According to the latest online/onscreen guide, this week's NBA on Foxtel schedule is as follows (all times Eastern Daylight Saving Time):

Wednesday, January 3rd: Magic vs Clippers (11:00 AM, Fox Sports 1)
Thursday, January 4th: Blazers vs Knicks (2:00 PM, ESPN)
Friday, January 5th: Kings vs Lakers (2:30 PM, Fox Sports 1)
Saturday, January 6th: Mavericks vs Spurs (11:30 AM pregame, 12:00 PM tipoff, ESPN)
Saturday, January 6th: Heat vs Suns (2:30 PM, assuming Mavs/Spurs has finished by then, ESPN)

Finally, a double header! Good selection this week as well. (Y)

Sun Dec 31, 2006 5:57 pm

only teams i havent seen this season are....
Atlanta
Charlotte
Minnesota
Portland
New York

obviously after this week i'll have seen Portland & NY.

We need more GSW games.

Mon Jan 01, 2007 2:48 pm

You missed the Heat/Bobcats game back in November?

Mon Jan 01, 2007 2:51 pm

yep, i was out and i forgot to tape it.....there was no replay :(

Mon Jan 01, 2007 4:43 pm

yeah, I missed that Bobcats game too....

I really am not happy with bball coverage this year....there has been virtually no college basketball games shown....disgraceful....

the fact is that I now do not watch any game that involves the Heat, Nets, Spurs (unless they're playing Mavs or a team with a rookie I'd like to see) & Pistons....the problem is that the majority of games shown include those teams....I'm almost ready to add Mavs to the list but they always seem to provide quality games against Spurs & Suns....

the teams I like to see play are Phoenix, Golden State, Denver & any of the teams not mentioned above....

ahh well, judging by the games that Andrew mentioned above from Wednesday to Friday (I'll have to watch replays as will be back at work), at least a couple of different matchups....

Mon Jan 01, 2007 8:31 pm

i cant stand watching Suns (unless they play Dallas or SAS), Miami, Cleveland, Houston (boring!). Still, i watch all games.

Tue Jan 02, 2007 10:54 am

yeah, I forgot to mention Houston & Cleveland, I don't watch those games either....at the moment, I'm only watching half the games they show....sometimes I watch a bit, then I go "this is the same old crap" & walk away, & just check in on game as it goes by....

I'm not sure of the name, but it's just this magazine that has a preview of all NBA teams for this season and all the matches were on the last page. I just saw it in the News Agent, there's only 1 edition of it, it's not a monthly magzine i dont think...

I'm pretty sure Denver vs San Antonio is on ESPN some time soon as well as Denver vs Cleveland on Fox Sports.

Steve Kerr will not be able to broadcast Thursday's game between the Lakers and Kings due to back spasms, so Charles Barkley will provide the color commentary in his place.

He will partner with Marv Albert.

Barkley will be a courtside analyst for the first time in nearly five years and only the fourth time since he began working with the network.

awesome, the Chuckster!!!!! :P
