So the Knicks refuse to ship Porzingis for Kyrie. In the meantime, Melo is demanding to be traded to the Rockets. Fun offseason continues. :applaud:

Kyrie Irving Reportedly Wants Trade to New York Knicks 'Very Badly'

Three way with Rockets?

Porzingis for Kyrie makes no sense. The idea is to have them play together. And how does trading Porzingis for Kyrie make the Knicks better? It's a stupid trade.

Knicks are always looking for a big-time savior.......how has it worked out for them the past 16 years? Just rebuild the smart way.

KP looked good for team World the other night, definitely looks bigger and stronger. Good to see him working good out with Dirk too

Melo doesn't wanna go to the Cavs?

I think that kinda confirms LeBron is seriously considering to leave the Cavs. Melo wouldn't wanna be stuck in the shit city all alone.

lebron is 100% out in cleveland next season. i feel like melo not wanting to go to the cavs is him saying "why leave 1 fucked up front office for another"

He ultimately spurned the Bulls a couple of years ago, too. Say what you will about his shortcomings as a player, but at least he recognises a dysfunctional situation when he sees it.

Seemingly 3rd team not showing up to take on Ryan Anderson's contract is the only thing that's stopping Melo to become a Rocket for now.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Tue Aug 15, 2017 3:54 pm

60 million over 3 years for Ryan Anderson is pretty stupid for a player who can't play a lick of defence but saying that we just did the same signing THj, it's no wonder no team wants to take on that contract even if he is what the modern nba stands for... A 3 point shooting big...

What do you guys think of Michael Beasley signing? He's a #2 overall pick from awhile ago but he's in prime at age of 28.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Tue Aug 15, 2017 5:24 pm

Low risk high reward.

He's settled down over the years to become a decent roll player, I expect him to have the same impact that Derrick Williams had a couple of years ago with the knicks

I hope the Knicks aren't serious about trading Porzingis so they can unload Noah's contract. Unfortunately, it's something their clueless front office would do.

No question. Porzingas and Irving together? Interesting prospect. Irving in, Porzingas out? Not as appealing.

Re: The Knicks Thread....

KP is off limits, only Phil would of traded him to off load one of his mistakes in Noah but from what I've seen Phil wanted to trade KP and Noah for the number one pick so he could draft Lonzo Ball.

Who won our bet?

I think Noah will have a bounce back year. That dude is too prideful to just cash it in. I hope he gets in a rhythm/gains his confidence back

Re: The Knicks Thread....

Doesn't Noah still have some games to serve on his suspension?

He's got the pride, the talent, and the basketball smarts, but can he remain healthy enough? It seems his injuries are chronic at this point, sadly.

Noah speaks out......

Great mindset, and classic Noah. Again though, it all comes down to the body being as strong as the mind, and sadly he's become pretty banged up over the course of his career.

Injured or not he brought nothing to the table last season even when he was "healthy" he just looked lost on both ends and even when he thought he was making a good hard defensive foul it was bad timing or at a point that just highlighted how bad his man beat him to the basket

One of the worst contracts in Knick history....and that's saying something when you look at all the ridiculous contracts they've handed out.

With or without Anthony, Knicks will be lucky to win 35 games this season.

Carmelo might be back;

Not surprising after they abruptly ended all attempts to trade him. I could still see him being dealt before the deadline...should he agree to the deal and waive the clause, of course.

Melo will probably be back and bought out by Christmas.

I'd rather that then take back Ryan Anderson's contact

Will Carmelo be on the roster before Media Day? According to Hornacek at this morning's interview session, yes.

Do you think he'll be traded by the deadline? Even with Phil Jackson gone, it seems like there's a pretty big rift between him and the organisation.
