2nd and 3rd tier NBA players dominating the Tourney. I wonder how it'd have been if the real big boys went there.

Looking great for team USA. Durant's having another phenomenal game, beating the record and having half of the team's points, Despite the rest of the team struggling to score, they're still blowing out the Turks, (Y)

Iguodala's been impressive. Has he been starting at the 3 or the 4?

I already mentioned 'in exception of KD' earlier in this thread. Didn't wanna repeat.

Wow. By the looks of the rotation, you'd think Don Nelson was the coach!

At one point, I believe it was Rose, Billups, Westbrook, Durant and Iguodala.

And,

Durantula murdered us. We didn't played great. Ersan and Semih was so bad when compared them before. Hedo tried to do something but it wasn't enough. We are still proud with our team. Thanks to all. Silver medal is great award vs great Team USA. Congrats to USA.

Kudos to Team USA. (Y) They really proved me wrong and turned in some great performances in the sudden death round. Kevin Durant is just a superstar. It's great to see the quiet achiever really coming up on top. This guy is a real leader.

Wow, Kevin Durant was amazing! And the tall players. 8-player USA Team was solid good. They cracked our zone defense, scored with guards and Durant. Ersan and Semih became nothing at match.

Congrats USA!

Didn't see any of the US games so can somebody tell me if my pre-tournament prediction was correct? I predicted that Russell Westbrook would be more important to Team USA than Derrick Rose. Maybe it's just because I rate Westbrook over Rose, but that's personal preference.

Judging from reports and analysis, Rose slipped in Coach K's books as the tourney moved on because he doesn't have as strong of an outside shot. Eric Gordon turned out more important than Westbrook and Rose. If comparing just Westbrook and Rose, Coach K seemed to prefer Westbrook over Rose in the end. However, Rose played confidently when he got minutes in the gold medal match. I also read that in the semi final, Coach K sat out Rose for most of the game and preferred to go with a backcourt of Westbrook/Gordon and Billups playing PG rather than SG as he started at the 2 all tourney.

Hopefully someone can say if this is true.

Congrats to USA and KD too :P

As I have already said, it was a One Man Show Kevin Durant Show....In the beginning it was okay, but in the third quarter was KD's then two of three the death of three  Somehow I found that game boring  Serbia vs.Turkey, I found much better and more exciting (Y) :D

But I am proud of the 12DevAdams aka 12GiantMans Turkey (Y)

THE ONLY THING TURKEY CAN WIN IS BIG BLACK D*CK IN THEIR MOUTH.
I AM SO GLAD THAT USA BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF TURKEY BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE FINAL ANYWAY. I AM PROUD AT MY NATION WHEN I SEE THAT WE HAVE BUNCH OD GOOD AND FAIR (TURKISH PEOPLE PLEASE SEARCH FOR THAT WORD ON THE INTERNET) YOUNG MEN WHO WILL RULE THE BASKETBALL WORLD IN THE UPCOMING YEARS. AFTER TONIGHTS FINAL I AM PISSED EVEN MORE BECAUSE OF COWARDLY MENTALITY OF TURKISH PLAYERS WHO CAME ON THE COURT TO BE BEATEN WITHOUT ANY RESISTANCE. I KNOW SERBIA WOULD PLAY WITH THEIR HEART AND SOUL AND SHOW SOME BRAVERY (SEARCH FOR THAT WORD TOO PLEASE) AGAINST USA NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES THEY SUPPOSED TO BE BETTER THAN US (WELL WE WILL NEVER KNOW IF THEY ARE EVEN STRONGER THAN US THANKS TO THE BANANA REPUBLIC JUDGES AND DIRTY CHEATER OMER ASIK). ALL THE BEST TO USA AND SERBIAN BASKETBALL, ALL THE WORST FOR TURKEY BASKETBALL. HOPE YOU WILL NOT PASS THE GROUP STAGE IN ANY COMPETITIONS FOR THE NEXT 300000 YEARS.

We are not jealous when we lose in a fair way, but game versus your cheating nation wasn't anywhere near fair. Whole world saw what was happening at that game (even the stupid journalists from ESPN). Only people like you can celebrate and be PROUD when you win game like you won it versus us. That kind of attitude show us how meaningless NATION you are.

among all those judges "mistakes" (biggest ones nenad krstic non-existent fifth foul and un-called foul on velickovic after serbia final basket), just watch where is kerem tunceri's left leg when he starts to dribble ball in last turkey attack.

You should be ashamed of your whole nation. Losing is fine for me as long is fair losing.
Anyway in the next years turkey basketball team will be good only for raising points different. Like Angola and teams like that.
Cheating gipsy nation.

You should not be that emotional about the whole World Cup. Turkey played better than Serbia, Teodosic started like this would be the game of his life and ended up taking two very questionable shots when it counted, hitting none of them.

X, Westbrook was definitely more important than Rose. He was the better defender in this tournament and created easy fast break points with his good anticipation. He also made good decision when to take the jumper and when to pass the ball. For the highlight reel, he had some sweet dunks in the break (but also missed two dunks in traffic) and I remember one decent chase down block.

Rose played okay in the first few games, but his shot just did not fall in the semis and against Turkey. (he did not even hit the rim a few times). Westbrook just seems to be the better player at the moment, but on offense it's tough to judge because the US Squad ran almost every play for Durant or a shooting two guard (Gordon, Billups).
