How did Kobe light up the Jazz for 33 ppg with a bad back? I'd suggest that in both cases, the injuries aren't as severe as first thought. Being world class athletes with access to excellent medical care probably helps too.

There's been a similar turn in the main page poll as well. A few days ago the Lakers had around 56% of the vote, the Celtics have just pulled ahead 51-49.

And just for Sauru:

i guess it's almost safe to say pierce will be the mvp if celtics closes the series in game 6 now. personally, i wanted to see kg winning it. he's like backbone of the celtics team, like tim duncan is to spurs but then parker winning the mvp.

however, i like kobe's attitude. just 2 more games for lakers. they still have a great opportunity to be the champ. like he says anyone on lakers would have loved to be in this situation, 2 games away from the championship. sounds quite confident even tho they need to make a history to become the champ.

You know i dont know who is in charge of setting dates to play games, but whoever he is, he really fucked up. After game 1 they had 2 days off before game 2. Then they only had 1 game off before game 3 in which they had to fly cross country. Games 3 turned out sloppy as hell. Game 4 and 5 were still in LA. Now we go back to Boston for game 6 and only 1 day off. What in the world were these guys thinking? They should have 1 day off between games only if the next one is in the same city. If they have to fly cross country at least give them 2 days off. I fully expect game 6 to be a sloppy game again.

I was thinking it had something to do with ratings and being on a Sunday, but if the series goes to 7, then 3 games will end up on a Thursday. Why all the games start at 9 pm Eastern Time is beyond me.

i gotta disagree, i love kg and what he has done for the celtics but this is pauls team, always has been, the media has just tried its best to hand it over to the mega star kg. pierce got a shit load of heart, as does kg, but pierce is without a doubt now imo the mvp of this team

I agree with you Sauru...The heart and soul of the C's right now is Pierce...KG is more of an emotional leader. And I expect the three to play well come Game 6.

And as for the schedule, it's to make money of course. 9pm ET, where almost everybody can watch the game...

If nothing else, Pierce has simply had the better series through the first five games of the series. Barring a simply unbeliveable performance from KG or Allen to clinch the series, if the Celtics win the MVP has to be Pierce at this juncture.

Would you have considered it a lucky game if the Lakers had been the ones to storm back from 24 down? I'm guessing not. I appreciate your passion for your favourite team and all but come on, give credit where credit is due.

Rrr.. Okay, Okay.. I am takin' my words back. Good game for the Celtics! They deserved The Win. But really i was overexited a lil bit and.. you know. I really wanna see Lakers with the trophy
This was childish comment :shake: Sorry for it...

But hey it's 3-2 now.. And this is the NBA god damned.. Amazing things happens there, right  It will be good for every NBA fan to see Game 7.. It will beacome really dramatic if that happens.. The biggest rivaly in NBA - in one last game.. So nice.. And if the lakers give their best and also have a lil more luck.. Why not..

For all Lakers fans - Blieve in our team

Absolutely, the series isn't over yet and like I said, I can appreciate your enthusiasm for your favourite team. I just think the Celtics deserve a little more credit than that. I'd agree that luck has a little to do with any team's success but at the end of the day it takes more than good fortune to win a championship.

Ba dum bump...was it?

Haha, seriously, biasedness and everything aside, that has got to be one of the best posts ever by a Filipino member.

Anyways, everyone's already giving Pierce/Allen the MVP trophy, chill guys...they still have to clinch. I wonder who would get it for the Lakers...

If the Lakers win it has to be Kobe. Even if he hasn't dominated as so many predicted, he's still been the Lakers' best player and I assume would turn in impressive performances in the final two games if Los Angeles were to win.
