Awesome final setup. Better than USA-Spain. USA-Turkey in Turkey is going to be glorious like Kazakhstan... very nicccee.

I hope Durant breaks Hedo's ankles. :D

Should be a great one. My friend Timur has Turkish parents, so he's torn as to who he'll root for. Rooting for USA here, but I actually think Turkey will win it.

I think Turkey could win it. I'd be happy for them but at the same time I'd be disappointed for Team USA. I wanted these guys to prove they could win without the 08ers. (Despite the fact I was saying Spain would win it all).

It will be a good game. I will go for Team USA but a Turkey would be quite something! It would do basketball a lot of good.

I think he wouldnt because he will not match up with Hedo . Whatever . Even there are people who thinks Turkey win against USA . As a Turkish person , we should thanks them for this . We are not USA or Spain . We are not success in the every sport .For me this is the biggest success in Turkish Sports History.

@alissan

Actually i said that Turkey is really tough opponent for the USA and they will play hard so i didn't underestimated your team. I said that both teams played great today and it was decided on the little details like a foul the big mistake and the even bigger block.

The rivalry between us stays only in the games between us. Other than that I'm just a fair viewer who gives the props to the ones who deserve them. And i believe that Turkey played great providing us with one of the best semis in the last 15 years in big tournaments(i can recall only the Greece France match in 2005 with that emotion)

So do you two think Turkey can win?

Because I think they can. Turkey may not have the most talented squad but they are good enough to make the final with the fans behind them.

As for Durant v Hedo, I just saying. Durant is going to do more than break his ankles. :)

alisan1381, do Turkish fans behave well in games or losses?

I'm asking because I have no idea how you guys react especially to close ones or disputable calls if it ends up like that with the USA.

It's good that the home squad reached the finals but I don't want to see coins/stuff thrown into the court if the end of the game comes to that scenario I mentioned above. It ruins what the Turkish team accomplished if it comes to that.

Not to downplay Turkey's run through the tournament and I do think they could win, but I'll pick the USA.

What is your problem :?: This was sipmle a crazy game and the best game in this tournament IMO :hump: :headbang: Go Turkey Go

....USA vs. Turkey or Kevin Durnat vs. Turkey muhaha, I want to see this situation :cheeky:

the game took too long and it went over the allowed time slot so my DVR stopped recording thnking the show was over.

So do you two think Turkey can win?

no chance in hell. Turkoglu can only do so much. and Serbia was soundly beating them the whole game and let them back in it at the end.

Serbia made a tragic mistake. The defender who double teamed Turkoglu left a wide open lane for the guard that made the lay up.

As for the final. I've said it before. Even with the home crowd turkey can't win-though they may play hard

I read that some Turkish dude who can't hit free throws pretended to be injured in the final minute so that a better shooter could step up to the line.

It will be a tough match. We had a great run to the finals. USA Team is an amazing team, already. But we'll fight to the end. I'm expecting a great battle tonight. I hope we win but it's not so important if we can't. We have a lot of proud with our team (Y)

The guy was Asik and he shoots 15/41 (37%) for the tournament, so putting a guard in to take the foul shots was a great idea, despite the fact he made 1/2.

Well, my point is that I read that Asik did a hell of an acting job so that the other guy could come in to shoot because you can't sub off the shooter unless they are injured.

He did get hit in the eye and sat out the rest of the game, so maybe he did indeed get hurt seriously. Though from a replay, it looked like he just got hit in the face, bitch-slap style.
