I don't know about Perk, but it would be good if he will play on Game 6.

Nice win by the Lakers, and that steal by Kobe was crucial, I turned off the TV after that, knowing that it's over...

And yeah, crucial FT's misses by KG in the fourth. I don't know if being on foul trouble took him off his game.

Looking forward for Game 6...Hope the C's will end it there...

Let's watch the players not the referees please. Too much anticipation that the referees will make a bad call will lead you to stupid posts which I do not want to quote.

BOSTON WILL NOT WIN AGAIN.

HAHAHAHAHAHA..

A good win for the Lakers. They really need it.

Looks like the Lakers will win tonight. :D

couldn't agree more....no way they should let him ref that game....regardless of how he calls the game, he is a so-called "NBA man"....given the timing, you don't let him ref that game....especially a game in LA....

a few things....Kobe's "steal"....he didn't even touch the ball, he just got Pierce in the gut & probably brushed his arm....either way, it's not going to be called a foul on Kobe....same thing at other end, that would've been called a foul....although if I was ref, I probably wouldn't have called it....

either way, that wasn't why Celtics lost....Pierce was superb once again....he's just carrying this team on his back....Garnett played same old same old as he has the rest of the Finals....he must be after one of Bill Russell's rings instead of his own....I dunno....

in the end, I think Celtics will get it done behind Pierce....

Celtics will lose game 6. Why? Because Kobe Bryant will ball hog throughout the game instead of just one half. He will wince and moan and gripe and make disgusted faces at his teammates over every little thing, he will give cold glares to the refs and he will whisper sweet nothings into the ears of Bostons players. They're going to win but it's going to be ugly, and if anyone compares Jordan to Kobe again I'm going to have a bitch fit. The difference in Kobe and Jordan's game may be minute skill wise (Kobe being proclaimed as a better shooter), but when it comes to character I think Jordan outclasses Kobe by 3 championships. Now I know Jordan talked shit and had his share of the territory that comes with being pronounced the best in basketball, but if you watch Jordan (And I mean really watch him not just that highlight youtube bullshit) You will notice the swagger Jordan carried was of a true champion. One who understood that you have to keep in tact the integrity of the journey in order to appreciate the final prize. Don't get me wrong, I think the Laker's will take it to a game 7 and ultimately win. But there's just something about the way Kobe is so quick to snap like a bi-polar white girl molesting maniac that is unsettling, and right when we forget about how flawed Kobe is and try to invite him back into our hearts he says something or acts in a way which reminds you that the guy is just out for himself. I'm just disappointed in the way he carries himself sometimes, it's hard to like him even when you feel like he has taken the raw deal from his organization. Comments he's made on Shaq, his coach, and his teammates...It's hard to imagine someone who is the best in the world at something is also probably a dick in real life. Maybe when Kobe is 35 and knocking on Jordan's Door as far as prime goes, he will appreciate the game and all his abilities when he took them for granted by pretty much throwing his team underneath buses since the day he walked into the league. For those who root for the Laker's because you want to crown a new king in this era for Basketball...You are mistaken. Root for the Laker's because as a team they had to deal with an ego driven, spoiled rogue prince and was still able to outplay a damn fine basketball team in Boston. But please, do not celebrate this Laker Championship over the all glory, no guts Kobe Bryant.

P.S Keven Garnett wins 2 more championships with Boston in 09 and 2010. 8-)

Assigning Bavetta was the NBA's way of showing faith in him and further denying Donaghy's allegations. Given the implications it doesn't seem like the right call but as long as the NBA is claiming innocence in the whole affair, letting Bavetta call one of the biggest games of the year does send a fairly strong message. Especially since aside from the odd questionable call on both sides - as there always is - neither team was handed the game by the officials. Both were called for 28 fouls and both attempted 31 free throws.

At this point, I still think the Celtics will prevail in six. That's not to take anything away from the Lakers who stepped up late in the game and managed to avoid elimination and building some momentum in the process but the Celtics have basically done what's expected and so often happens in an evenly matched Finals series; win the first two at home and take one on the road so that they have two chances to clinch the series at home.

That said, I'm sure they would have preferred to finish off the Lakers in Game 5 and certainly had an opportunity to do so once they tied the game at 90 late in the fourth. Still, I imagine their morale remains high heading home where they've been so successful in the postseason so far.

It might be just me but I felt a bias against calling fouls on Garnett. He got fouled a lot and there were too many no-calls in my eyes. Guess the league wants to extend the series or something.

I can't relate to the topic :-x, I only knew that the Celtics lost. And there were some co-faculty members who felt bad at it too. (except for some female co-faculty Laker fans)

Damn, I knew it that wearing green on Game 5 will make the Celtics lose. I'll wear yellow on Game 6.

the end of that game was fucking stupid. nearly lost my mind watching it. the bryant "steal" just set me off to no end, and then the celtics missing shots they need to make. wide open 3 by house? make that shit its why you are on the court.

What's with the "steal?" Was it a no-call contact?

Damn I missed a lot. :(

I don't get this. How have the Celtics been dominating them? And if they have, then haven't the Lakers also dominated the Celtics? The Lakers got the big leads in the first place. It's not like Boston blew them out in the end.

I agree, at least 2 of his fouls were not justified at all, and because he didn't really defend quite as well during the last quarter. Still, he didn't really deliver offensively, the end of the game would have looked different if he had scored his 3 missed free throws, and if he had attacked the basket a little more...
Since his jump shot has been quite unreliable during the series, I don't get why Powe doesn't get to play more, especially during the 3rd quarter, where they didn't overscore LA this time. I think he would have brought some much needed energy in the paint, and he would have gone to the line a few times too.

Infuriating shit, that was a foul right there, he doesn't even touch the ball.

Either way, I just hope Boston will crush these fuckers on Tuesday, they can't allow a 7th game in this series.

Bad news for C's...Ray Allen is still questionable for Game 6 due to family matters...I just hope that everything's okay...He's just too important for the C's..

KG's FT's, if only he converted those two, it would have tied the game, and the flow would be different then, oh well...

Hoping that C's will bounce back on Game 6 with the crowd feeding from their energy...C's play better at home...

how the fuck does kobe rape everyone every night when he bitches about being injured all the time? sometimes being carried off the court is a precaution. personally i think he faked it too but only cause he knows he completly sucks and the bench players are far superior to him, thats my guess anyway
